Dancing with the Vegan???

Hey guys! I don't normally post but thought this was a good reason. Next Monday night April, 30th, please watch Dancing with the Stars. I know it's silly but Healther Mills is dancing. Besides being a great activists for animals, children, and against land mines...she is also a Vegan!! C'mon support a sista!! She has a lot of courage having a prosthetic leg and dancing live in front of millions of people. Voting online at ABC.com is free and easy, I signed up and don't get tons of annoying email for ABC. SO easy!! Now Heather might not dance as well as Joey Fat-One or that ALI chick but she DEFINATELY dances better than Billy Ray Cyrus and that fat dude from CHEERS! She was in the bottom 2 this past Monday. The money she wins will go to VIVE or VIVA, I forget the name, I don't frequent animal rights websites due to pictures, etc, Point being this is an excellent way to put her in the American spotlight as a Vegan and animal rights activist and her money will go to the ANIMALS!!  Let's let her win!!!! PLEASE!!! you don't even have to watch just check the time it's on next monday and then go online and vote at ABC.com!!  Pass this info onto your other animal loving friends!! Peace-BOOCAT

why must you criticize and demean others for the sake of supporting one?  not only is that simply 'not nice' but it is in direct contrast to the person and the organization that you are cheering.  everyone on that show are putting themselves on the line, making themselves vulnerable- heather is not the only 'disabled' person on the show.  they all have disabilities whether is weight (as you mentioned more than once), lack of coordination, age, race, etc.  dont be evil- you get more bees with honey than with vinegar!!!!

Evil?? OMG!  Exactly why I never post, you get attaked on this site. LIGHTEN UP !!! I was having fun with the post and mistakenly thought people would be excited about Heather Mills. No crap everyone has disabilites on the show. Heather's prosthetic leg is a huge challenge. I am not against the other contestants. Gimme a break. Thanx Veronica, my first and last post.

That's awesome!  I'd heard she was vegetarian, I didn't know she was vegan.  How cool.  Thank you for letting us know, BooCat, and please keep posting.  :)

I didn't know she was a vegan!  I mean, I knew she was huge into animal rights and all.  That's cool.  Keep on postin' Booboocat.  Your pictures are so cute!

Thanx for the support guys! Heather did well last night but I think Apollo or Joey might win.  I don't think enough of the American public know her so they lean more towards who they are familiar with, even if the dancing skills aren't to great. I voted for her online so keep your fingers crossed that she won't get voted off tonight!

I watched the show last night--I'm sorry that Heather lost. I admired her for giving a shout out to veganism during her farewell speech. She said something to the effect (I don't remember her exact words) that all the proceeds of her involvement in DWTS go to animal charities, and that they have saved the lives of thousands of animals. Also, she proposed that people eat a "no-meat dinner," even if for just one night out of the week, and then she said "go vegan!" (I think those were her words--I tried to search for her quote on the internet so I could paste it here, but I guess it's too early after the show for any press about it.)

I know it's no-tv week, my bad. In my defense, I haven't subscribed to cable in over a year--my tv only receives ten or eleven really, really crappy channels, so I hardly ever watch it (I mostly watch movies on DVD). DWTS just happens to air on one of those crap channels. And though  I didn't vote for anyone on the show, I must sheepishly admit I'm a big fan of Apolo. He's just a phenomenal athlete and speed skater. It's easy to tell he's also a nice guy with a lot of integrity. He hails from Seattle--I must support (at least passively) the local celebrities. And my admiration has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he's easy on the eyes... ;)

HAH! Apollo is easy on the eyes and adorable. I will be supporting him since my girl Heather was voted off. I saw her speech and I got all emotional when she talked about the animals and GO VEGAN!! She told millions of people on national television! Incredible. I am glad she is one of the public voices on Veganism. Yay!!

Age, lack of coordination and being overweight aren't disabilities either.

I don't watch the show, but from what I understand, Heather Mills is the only one on the show who actually has a disability.
