What do you think dejavu is?

For me personally I think it's a collection of coincidences--but it can be really disorientating! I once read a research paper on the stuy of it and it was quite fascanating to see how memories and the brain link new experinces!
While studying French I have had to use the term in the literal translation on "already seen" and every time it happens I giggle :D

In psychological terminology it means the sensation you've been somewhere, done something before. My prof said it often happens when a person has been stressed out or overtired for a long time (simply in terms of the brain).
At times I've had a strong sense of recognition in some places or of certain things; in my case as I'm a voracious reader and watcher of documentaries, I put it down to having read or watched something to do with that place or thing, and though I don't consciously remember, the info is on file and it seems familiar.
I don't put much stock in "past lives" or racial memory, myself...but who knows? Given my reaction to a photo of a dolmen in France (a country I've never visited)...anything is possible.

I've had it happen too many times to think its all coincidence, and experienced some other things that I dont feel comfortable enough to get into here.
What it is exactly, I cant say, but I feel that there are many different things that it could be. None of which can be scientifically proven atm.

It's a glitch in the Matrix ;)
LOL :D
I used to have deja vu a lot more often when I was a kid than I do now. But my husband, who's currently on a work assignment in San Jose, said he went to a location that seems completely familiar to him, even though he'd never been there in his life.
I used to think it was memories from before we were here. Now? I don't know what I think anymore. So glitch in the Matrix works for me!
