I just realized that savvyidler, her husband and her huge pack of rescue dogs all live in Yucatan, Mexico....

Hurricane Dean is now a category 5 storm and heading right for them. It's always been a nightmare of mine to image having to flee somewhere for safety during an emergency with all of my dogs....it would be nearly impossible to do so. I hope they are all well and ride out the storm safe and sound....
Send them your good vibes and positive thoughts......

Thinking positive thoughts!
savvyidler - lots of good thoughts and vibes coming your way!
Be safe! I'm watching the weather channel now and you're in my thoughts.
:(
Sending good vibes.
Good vibes going your way. Thanks Dave.
Good vibes for safe humans and furry babies! :(
Best wishes to eveyone in the path.
hoping for the best for my hardcore friend
My thoughts are with all who must endure the storm.
Sending you positive thoughts.
Stay safe!
oh no - I didn't realize that! thanks for bringing it up dave, I hope they're ok!
I was actually thinking the very same thing about her last night. :(
Savvyidler, let us know if there is anything we can do to help, virtually or in reality.
I did get an email from her last night telling me that they live on the Western side of the peninsula. Though they won't be having a level 5 storm on that side....a level 3 is still a horrible storm to have to go through. I highly doubt I'll hear again from them today (or for a few days)....I'll keep ya posted if and when I do..
Sending good thoughts their way!
Thanks everyone. :) So far, so good; we haven't even lost power yet. The rain is just starting and the wind is really picking up. The worst is yet to come but, as of now, it isn't too bad. All dogs and Spot are inside, happy and waiting for breakfast. Trying to convince them to 'go' outside is the tough part. I'm glad it's hitting in the daylight; storm are scarier at night. Here's hoping I still have a satellite dish when this is over (well, and a house). Nothing to do but wait. :-\
