You think? I love being tall...other than sometimes having a hard time finding pants that are long enough.

Yeah, at 5 ft 7 the first thing you learn to sew is hemming pants! I really miss Marks and Spencer, they had like 4 different pants lengths in all sizes.

5.10 and a 1/2, don't mind it much, except for the off-hand remark of "you're so tall!" , which is very weird....its like, am I THAT freakishly tall that strangers feel compelled to point it out to me? Oh, and buying long pants, jeans are not so bad anymore, but nice, work pants still are~

There was a guy at a my former work who was really tall, and it randomly got pointed out to him by customers about once a day. Often children. He'd just be doing stuff, and some kid would come up and be like "YOU'RE TALL." hehehe
I felt bad for him. It's like the one of the few physical things people feel free to point out. It's a lot less acceptable to be like "HOLY COW YOU'RE FAT!" though I wouldn't put it past little kids.

It adds that extra 'problem' to dating. I wouldn't mind dating someone shorter, but most men are still not ok with dating a taller chick. buying pants and dresses sucks, too.

DH is shorter than me, and it's never been a problem. I dated another guy who was shorter than me too. As long as the guy doesn't have a short guy complex, it's not an issue. I think girls often have more of a problem with it than guys...I've had several female friends who have said "I could never date a guy who's shorter than me." Yeah, well, when you're 5'4" it's not that much of a problem. ::) I would have had to reduce my dating pool by about 25%.

DH and I are the same height. That's what the scale says, though his nose is above mine. We don't pay much attention to it. I never wear heels (don't like walking on my toes) so it's not an issue.
I know this woman who is like 5 foot 10 and insists on wearing uberhigh heels all the time. It's obvious to me that she needs to dominate everyone around her--super-perfectionist, etc. She towers over her husband, who's some kind of military officer. I suppose she feels in control that way. She brags about how she "wore heels in the delivery room". Which to me is just...wow.

Anyone who denies it is just a fool or trying to protect their man's feelings.

I prefer the Spanish version: The more expensive and exotic the perfume, the smaller the bottle.

I'm talking about short people, not short appendages. And since you asked, no, they don't. At least mine doesn't.
