NVR: derby name help!

Alright, so my husband is always telling me I need a hobby so I decided to join the local roller derby league! :) It's an actual sport, not like the old days when it was more like pro-wrestling with fake hits, etc. It's an all woman's league. My problem is that I need a nickname! It has to be fun, cool, sexy, etc. A friend of mine suggested Roto~Tilla. ;D
Any suggestions? Thanks!
awww they started a league here at the beginning of summer, and i thought about joining but decided i needed to concentrate on school. let us know what name you end up using. i like Vegan Valkyrie myself.

I've been following both of my local leagues (Providence, RI and Boston, MA), and wanted to try out this summer for the RI league, but time didn't permit. AfterI finish grad school (December), however, my bum is getting out there. Hooray for derby!
I've got a name picked out for me, but I won't tell anyone until it's official (after my first scrimmage). Good luck! Kick some butt!

yeah, that's the main roster... there's so many names! I came up with more name ideas but it's seriously hard to choose ::) Here they are:

Raisin' Elle
Cruella DeKill
Sam Manilla
Mel A. Noma
Fannie Tanner (which I'm partial to because Fannie is my late~grandma's name)

I JUST joined the local derby TODAY. Apparently, the most important aspect of roller derby is picking out a pseudo-name (I was incorrect to assume that a custom-made mouth guard was the first order of business to be conducted). I went with Pasti Pow, which is a play on an existing pseudo-name given to me (Pasti Yao) for maintaining a false profile when up to no-good in seedy bars.
I must admit that I'm slightly jazzed about the entire derby concept. While getting elbowed in the face never really sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday evening, I'm kind of looking forward to my first black eye. The street cred alone is surging motivation through my veins
I know this topic was last updated almost four years ago, but I am incredibly interested in hearing how derby has shaped your life since. Any advice from a former noob?

Public Service Announcement: Derby is the gateway drug to ice hockey. You'll get bruised in derby, like it, and go looking for a bigger hit.
Derby is wicked fun! I am gutted I don't have the time to commit to it anymore.
My partner plays ice hockey and he was more than happy to help me "practice" taking and doling out hits at speed haha.
I was Ninja Rogers. I can't give much advice as I never got too much further than n00b status but have fun!
