Reasons to frown

Ok, so we have a smiling thread. This thread is for all of the little dumb things that make you frown, or angry, or sad, etc., etc.
I'll start. I had chili for lunch today. I brought some crackers for the chili and a banana for breakfast. THE CRACKERS ABSORBED THE BANANA FLAVOR THROUGH THE BAG, SO I HAD BANANA FLAVORED CHILI FOR LUNCH! >:(
Does anybody else know about the mistake? So if the customer doesn't cause a stink, she's in the clear?
Poor Katie.

Poor Katie.
She didn't tell anyone, so hopefully it blows over.
*crossing fingers for Katie*
I told my mom about my symptoms and she told me (in the way to explain the perfectly obvious to someone) that I had hayfever symptoms and to take allergy medicine. She was right. I now feel fine and could have gone to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, but it's too late to leave for it now. I wish the high speed train to the Bay Area was already constructed.
My beloved Diva Cup leaked over my once pretty and white froggy underpants. :'(
Ah! See, this is why those scare me. I imagined them doing that, and now to hear it actually happen.. No thanks, Diva Cup. Also, my old therapist's dog's name is Diva, so I would think of the dog every time I saw it, which would be weird.
My light bulb went out in my room. I'm in an apartment and this is the first time it's gone out on me, and the ceiling is way too high. :pirate: Argh!
My duty day today..... EVERYTHING about it has made me frown. And curse!! (See alternately 'reasons to smile' thread please).
This thread has only been around for two days and it has already reached four pages! That's a reason to frown if I've ever heard one. :(
When I was little I had a camp counselor who used to tell me, "don't frown so much, you never know who could be falling in love with your smile."

Hey! Get that smiley outta here.
When I moved in this here apartment at the beginning of August, we noticed the occasional little roach. We told the manager/landlord, and he sprayed for them. Despite that, we've noticed a gradual increase in the roach population, though I swearz I am generally clean. Anyway. We got raid and roach bait (eek, sorry to the vegan gods), and I've been finding some dead baby roaches (thanks to the roach bait?), but still plenty more live. Today my boyfriend called the landlord again, and he's going to fog the place on Monday. I also have finals starting Monday.
I have to clean out all the cabinets in the kitchen and the bathroom, and put all my food type stuffs in plastic bags and cover other things (and we have lots of stuff in the cabinets, as loyal patrons of Costco). After fogging, I gotta clean off all those surfaces to remove leftover fogging-ness. *Also* I've had a recurrence of sugar ants, tiny little dude who like anything carby (they take after me), and so I've moved all my open carby stuff to the fridge/freezer again (it's stuffed!), and they seem to be going for the ant bait (sorry again, vegan gods). Last time I lost a whole lot of stuff to them, including fancy cocoas, coconut, and bread mix.
These ants/leetle roaches seem to be coming out of the same area, by the cabinets/cutting board by the sink, and I think there might be a crack going into the next apartment (opposite that wall), as there's no window or door near there. I.e., even with fogging, they may just be coming through the other apartment. Or, if there's some weird crack in the foundation, even worse! But we'll see.
The tiny sugar ants have also started going in the bathroom (opposite side of the apartment - two sources?), but at that location we're arms with two now-fat little spiders. Unfortunately, the fogger stuff is probably going to take them out too :(
+ finals. Srsly.
The weather. It is making me sad (which is kinda punny, because its due to my SAD).
Also, I think it was mistake eating all that tofu the other day, ever since then the idea of eating more food has made me feel nauseous. Frowns all around today.
Ah! I can handle bugs. Actually, I like to save them and release them back outside before my roommates find and squish them. Swarms, however, totally freak me out. My parents once (actually twice) had moth infestations. Their larva was everywhere, along with this sort of spiderweb type substance. Everything in the pantry had to be thrown away. Even the things in jars were ruined, as the moths would get up under the lid where it screws. Then, in my last house, we had a carpenter ant infestation in the bathroom, where there was a crack where some wood had begun to rot. Basically, these things are ants, except bigger and with wings. Eek. Nothing like going to pee at 2 am and turning the light on to see a huge swarm of flying creepers.

i second this notion.
I'm ridiculously tired and somewhat grumpy, after having next to no sleep all last week due to the flea infestation and associated itchiness, Friday night we were at the in-laws place and got home really late = not good for catching up on sleep, Saturday night I was trying to be taxi for the husband's socialising but after sitting around for nearly six hours while the boys watched boxing, he still wasn't ready to go home so I left him there to find his own way home the next day, which still resulted in me getting much less sleep than I needed. However...
My lease runs up in the end of Nov. so I need to start figuring out where I'll be living after this. I hate searching, especially when I don't know the area (still) or anyone in it.
:help!:

i am!
My oven stopped working last night. The stovetop is fine, but I think its time for a new one (it was made the same year I was born).....even though its gonna be expensive.
Also, I want to get my hair cut and dyed.. usually, I do it myself. I decided I'd go somewhere and have someone else do it this time.. So, I've been looking up hair salons around this neck of the woods. I found a really cool looking place that seems to do an awesome job.. Yeah, too bad it would be about $200. Ugh. Looks like it's at home kits and kitchen scissors until I hit the jackpot.
That's insane! My hairdresser will cut AND dye for the princely sum of 20 Euros!
Granted, the high end hairdresser chain just got in trouble because they advertise "cut and colour for 30 Euros" but then if they add mousse, conditioner, hairspray or whatever...every extra is another 5 Euros or so. The "cheap" offer ends up costing like 70 Euros!
But then I don't get the concept of a chain of hair salons anyway. You usually patronise a hairdresser because of the way that one person cuts your hair, right? So a country-wide chain means umpty-jillion different ones. And this particular chain that just got busted, usually gives you their "cadets" to work on your hair (read trainees.) No thank you. I'll stick with Tony who has cut my hair since 1992.
