Sweet and Sour--recipes?

So I was bopping around the new forums and I see that "Sweet and Sour" which I thought was about relationship/romance stuff, is full of recipes and other oddments.
I'm just curious. What?
I have no idea. I thought you were going to be asking for a recipe here. Lol.
I e-mailed WML about it. Weird!
Oops >_<
I was just using this as a random textarea in which to test something, but accidentally submitted it :( I hope we get editing and/or deleting options soon.
To be slightly on-topic, I'll mention that Sweet and Sour was empty initially during the beta test. I guess there is something odd about that forum which confuses their data migration tools, but I can't guess what exactly. The relationship threads do seem to be buried in there too though. Was there one (or more) in particular that ought to be bumped to the top?
No, I just clicked on a recipe and ended up there. Eddies in the space-time continuum, I guess.
Yeah. I hope the residual weirdness gets sorted out soon. BTW, that's a pretty picture, kuzu!
Sadly, my only connection to that picture is that I happened to randomly use it to test my script's code for converting links from image hosting sites into the form used here. Also sad is that for some reason it didn't get auto-magically sized to fit the (rather narrow...) columns, and instead was cropped! (I think just because the image hadn't finished loading before I accidentally submitted, since it normally seems to work.)
(And now to test the newly added code that asks for a confirmation before posting anything... yay, it seems to work )
It will be sorted soon, I'm so sorry for the delay! There's only two of us working on the site, it's a home-grown operation, but we're getting there. We absolutely adore you all and we are working so hard, please know that! I know it's really hard right now, but I promise it will be better soon and be soooo amazing.
If there's anything else you're looking for in forums, please let us know! We are implementing changes ASAP, and want to take everyone's opinions into account.
Thank you again for all of your help and patience!!
Laura
It would be nice to be able to find the threads that were being used not 3 weeks ago, like the Reasons to Smile Thread, "What song is stuck in your head today" etc.
If we could just search for a thread and pull it up, or perhaps track our own previous posts, it would solve the problem. But since the oldest threads are on top, everything is buried. No one wants to spend an hour in a fruitless screen by screen search.
If nothing is done our community will die on the vine...to be honest, it's going that way pretty fast.
I am seconding Yabbit's comments. I have been seriously sick and just not up to fighting the site to find anything. If it had been easier to find new posts, I would have been living on here the last week or two when not in the hospital.
yeah, so the posts used to be sorted by the latest reply date, but now they're sorted by the date when the thread was started, which is not particularly useful. Dunno why it was changed.
And even when you find them and make a post, they don't move forward to the first page, they stay on page bazillion where you found them so nobody reads your post anyway.
I've emailed Admin and got no reply. Looks like we're on our own.
We've heard "a couple of weeks" for months now. When is "soon?"
Hey All!
We're working on forum searchability right now and we've moved the latest commented threads to the top of the page. Soon, you'll be able to see which threads have comments since your last post, as well. We're working on all your comments and suggestions!
@yabbitgirl Was there an email I missed? I'm so sorry! And I'm sorry for the delay as well, things have taken longer than we like. We're rolling out some big changes next week and the week after!
