Things I'm probably too old to still like

So I'm going on 20 yrs old... B-day is next month (the 14th ;)) and I still like Pokemon.  Yeah I'll admit it the games are really fun.  I don't collect the cards but I've been reading the manga online recently.  I also love watching cartoons still.

So VegWebbers what out there do you (or at least some people think) you're too old to still like?

LOL Cali, as long as you don't mind playing Monopoly on my Star Wars game!

ETA: I think we should have a VW gaming party, this could either be its own event, or can be included in the annual meet ups. (Personally, I believe it should be its own simply for the fact an activity of this proportion could last a weekend in and of itself.)

I get *so* competitive over games. Mario Kart, Battleship, Scrabble, everything.

I SHALL WIN.

I think we should hold this huge VW Inner Child Festival and take all our games and toys. We could put bubble bath in a swimming pool or hot tub and throw the duckies in there, and have allll kindsa fudz. And huge-screen TVs for the cartoons and stuff.

**and by foods, she means chocolate chip waffles with insane amounts of vegan ice cream on top. Because if I were a kid, that's totally what I would eat.

Yabbit, that was the theme for my 19th birthday party!!!! Childhood flashback for children of the 80's we went around town, bought candy and foodz from our childhood, rented all the 80's cartoons we could find at the THREE video rental places. Surprisingly, they only had Carebears, Rainbow Brite and My Little Ponies....no He-Man, Speed Racer, Transformers, etc....so the one boy at the party was subjected to 10 hours of 'girlish' overload. It was fun, enjoyable and I'm glad I did it, but will never do it again unless there is something to balance out the cuteness and sugar overloads that occurred that night.... You'd be surprised at how f*d up one could get on sugar alone.

Speed Racer first came out when I was in Jr High in the 70's....we used to sing the music at passing time in the halls, along with that awwwful country hit, "I've Got A NeverEnding Luv Fur Yu." (Which was eventually banned by the principal because it led to people throwing notebooks, for some reason.) SR was the first Japanese-type cartoon I'd ever seen...I always thought he looked like he was on speed, anyway... ;D

I feel rather sorry for anyone who doesn't have access to Spanish "chucherías". Literally "puppyfood" this refers to candy and other junk, sold from a little kiosk on the street, usually (of course) near a school. Thinks like strawberry hearts, "lips" that taste like bubblegum, "bananas" etc. They're fun to buy, let alone eat! I don't of course because you can OD on sugar and chemicals in a heartbeat. (Think of StarBurst Fruit Chews on ecstasy! LOL)

Jell-O. I don't buy it in its European permutation because of the gelatine thing and because it's much stiffer than its US counterpart, and it doesn't wobble right! My sister used to just mix it with water and drink it "to strengthen her nails." Bushwah. She just liked it. Ugh. LOL

Asian food markets.

They sell this jell-o like substance.. so many flavors.
they come in tiny tubs you just eat it right out of.
I always found jell-o gross anyways..
but my cousin likes it.
It's not the same wobbly-ness of jell-o, but close.

Sticker books! Not the peel-and-stick kind...the old kind that you had to lick.
A kaleidoscope, the proper kind that makes "cathedral windows." I am trying to find one here, with no success so far.

Kites. But there's never enough wind here.

The kind of spinning top that hums.
