If you had a chance to open your own vegan restaurant what kind would it be? ex. a.sandwich shop, a pizzeria, a vegan bakery, a general restaurant etc etc.

this is an amazing idea. because you can never find vegan pub grub (well, occasionally there will be a hummus platter). i'd do it.
I've got all the aesthetic details worked out in my head (dark wood, brass accents, paneled floor, etc). All I need to do is learn how to brew beer! And with the whole Inn aspect tacked on to it, I'd have vegan breakfast items, too, so I can have my bakery along with it. We've always talked about doing this (and continue to talk about it every time we go out to a pub and are annoyed by the lack of veggie options on the menu), and really it's our current career paths that are delaying it.
I see myself as having a life made of several careers. I have a feeling that when we retire from our current careers, this will be the option we pursue.

Heya Lucidanne, I live close enough to work for your tea shoppe, count me in! Amandabrooke, I've been to that juice place, and it is pretty good, but it has changed (according to the pics anyway) since I was there last, but there was also a tiny vegan buffet place down the street from there that was awesome... not sure if it still is.
As for what kind of vegan joint I'd open? Well I'd have to go all the way, with a nice sit down area, along with a bar for quick sandwich meals, and obviously I'd offer vegan cask conditioned ales of my own creation, Yum! I would want to have Sunday morning brunch, with vegan eggs benedict, and scrambles, and pirogies, and.... crike... I'm hungry now.

I would open a general vegan restaurant, with many raw options. I would make my own beer, wine, ginger beer, root beer and have them on tap. Plenty of delicious desserts (raw and regular) with a menu that always has new options.

wouldnt it be great if we could start a town like that "Ava Maria" christian town in FL. (done by the dominos pizza creator)...only it was vegan. the cows could run free. and wed have vegan bakeries, pubs, cafes ON EVERY CORNER.a shop for every delicacy...scones only, pies only, baypuppys cupcakes...
we'd have to walk everywhere though, lest we indulge too much! sigh. ::)
