VegWeb Beta Testers Needed!
Hi All!
We're in the final stages of launching our brand new bug-free and beauuuutiful VegWeb.com! We've been working on this new site for a long time, and we're so excited to show you all. However, first, we need the help of some of you super-dedicated VegWebbers.
We're looking for some super users who are very familiar with VegWeb and who have some free time to play around on our new site and give us feedback. Beta testers will get onto the new site early and get to help shape how the whole thing turns out. We'll probably start to let beta testers on in early to mid-February, so that's when you'd need to have some free time to look around the site and give us your opinions.

Speaking of beta-testing, I'd like to suggest an open beta test. Or, in other words, I think anyone who comes to vegweb should get the new site by default starting as soon as possible, even if some features are known to not work yet.
Firstly, for people who heed those suspicious site warnings (one of which I had to click through to get here just now, BTW), the current site is effectively completely broken some of the time anyway. More importantly, people who don't heed the warnings (or are unlucky enough to visit the site in the roughly 6 hour average period after the malware is added but before Google has scanned the site) apparently are getting infected with malware. Depending on what the malware does, it could be much worse than not having whatever features are still incomplete on the new vegweb. Obviously people ought to take steps to protect themselves, but considering how difficult it has been for the staff working on vegweb to block the attackers during the last 4.5 months, I don't think it is realistic to expect typical visitors to be able to do much better.

agreed, nothing is ever updated, a lot of my recipes I uploaded were deleted (this especially upset me because these were recipes I declined to put on my own personal website now I no longer have them) or never approved and "disappered". No one is ever online so I just never get on. This is probably the first time I've been on here in almost 2-3 months.
