What dont you eat as a vegan?

People have a vision of what vegetarians/vegans are..they think you eat salad all day and throw up at the sight ofmeat? Im unlike most vegans.
Im not a big fan of salad, I dont eat vegan cheese( still freaks me out) and I dont really like juice.
I want to know what dont people eat besides meat and dairy...
SQ, do not blame the cilantro! You might be able to blame your genetic makeup. :P IIRC, there is a gene that makes cilantro inedible to some people, similar to the gene which makes asparagus/brussels sprouts inedibly bitter regardless of preparation for some people, or the gene for being a ptc taster (I am!).
Luckily, I do not have either of the green-vegetable hating genes... I just dislike cane sugar. I know, I'm weird! But it leaves this horrible manky rotten aftertaste on the back of my tongue and it's just absolutely minging! I'm also not big on fake cheese or cream cheese or sour cream or whatever. Tofutti... just no. No.
mushrooms are my friend - yum! grill up some portabello 'shrooms and i'm there!
funny in that i like most of anything but tempeh - that's one of the few things that i really can't seem to develop a taste for. i eat fermented tofu (and like it) but i can't do tempeh - eh, go figure!
i also don't like granny smith apples - it's about the only kind of apple i don't care for.
i eat quinoa, because i feel like i should - but to me, it has no taste.
i'm sure there's more i'll think of later... :D
In honor of what all you faggots don't like, I'm going to eat a dish with mushrooms, tempeh and sweet potatoes with a delicious salad as a side (with AVOCADO, BITCHEZ!)

you forgot sprouts, for the salad ^_^
duly noted.
i have another... green grapes they're freakin disgusting...
i agree about the bell peppers... i usually can't stand them in most dishes though i do eat them occasionally as long as they're overpowered by something else.

That sounds amazing.
I'm so sad for you guys that don't like bell peppers! We LOVE them, and when I'm chopping them my bf and my dog are both 6" away from me, waiting for tidbits to eat raw! Summertime is my favorite because we're usually overflowing with bell peppers and tomatoes. I could eat those all summer...
you guys are weird.. i'll eat with sb. as long as theres not any green peppers - i like all the other colors, just not big on the green ones, or raw onion. otherwise, i like just about everything, which is shocking to me cus i was super picky as a kid. i also think im one of the strange people who are indifferent to cilantro - i don't hate it, but i'm not in love with it, it's just ok to me and i think most people are really one way or another over it.
i hate natto though - THAT. shit. is. disgusting.
I'll eat tomatoes prepared any way..... except raw. Pleh.
You fungus fans can have my share of shrooms.
Celery is my vegetable enemy no. 1!
Peas, except for raw snow-pea pods, are vile.
Chinese food, blech.
I wanted to know what people dont like to eat because it seems that omnis always think as a vegan you love salads and love veggie burgers and grass. Lol
The next time someone skeptical asks me what the heck I eat as a veg*n, I'm gonna say, "Grass." 8) :P

You mean you don't like bitter snot nuggets?
I'll eat natto, occasionally. Like for an upset stomach (like yogurt?). I've also made natto donburi (gross) and fried natto (better). I guess it's one of those so-hated-foods that it's like I'm challenged to try to like it.
Okay, maybe I've been a little sheltered in my midwest/middle of nowhere/even tofu is weird town. I hadn't even heard of natto, so I looked it up and...well...maybe I'd be a bit more picky about food if I were introduced to more variety! I don't know. The pics are kind of gross, but I think I'd at least try it.
It's basically little bitter soybeans covered in a snot/saliva-textured ooze (from fermenting, I guess). It usually comes with a little packet of mustard and seaweed, in an attempt to make it more palatable. However, a lot of natto is flavored with bonito/etc, so it's hard to find a vegan one to begin with. A person who doesn't like tempeh would probably REALLY not like natto... it's that bitter/fermented flavor to the extreme.
I had a recipe one time where you mix the natto with some stuff and make little packets of it (surrounded by nori), then deep-fried. That was all right. I think the frying kind of changes the snot texture.
i dont even remember the taste being super bitter i just remember the texture being so nasty. it was in a maki roll at a restaurant and i had never heard of it before but got it cus it was one of the veggie options so i thought - soybeans, how bad can it be? ick. my poor friends that i was sharing with choked down one apiece, i think i ate two or three (i think i was trying to pretend to like it so it wasnt wasted) but we couldnt finish it all off. never again. i'll stick with aac rolls.
oh yeah - heli reminded me that i dont really like raw celery either. cooked up in a soup i dont mind it, but not crunchy.
I ate natto sushi last night!!!
I thought it was gonna be nasty, but I liked it!!!
I've never heard of natto either. It looks scary. I'd at least try to try it but . . .
I don't eat mushrooms. yuck! And every restaurant seems to have the veg option be a portabello mushroom dish (chains) . Luckily most of the places around here have tempeh reubens and stuff.
You are so lucky. Where I live, most people have never heard of tempeh (or seitan, other than the guy in charge of hell). The closest all-veg restaurant to me is a little over an hour's drive. Delicious, wonderful food, but so very far away. Maybe someday I can move to civilization!
As for what I don't eat as a vegan ... pretty much nothing. That would explain why, vegan or not, I am such a fatty fatmeister. I am not particularly fond of eggplant because it's a little slimy to me.
Natto...here are some kids lovin' it! Now I want to see if my baby will eat it.

yuck that does look like snot! no thanks
uncooked tomatoes-ew.
iceburg lettuce-nasty.
lima beans-*shudder*
overcooked pasta
the giant red kidney beans I also find largely nasty.
oh...and I can't get close enough to natto to taste it. the look & smell make me want to exorcise it, not eat it.
