People have a vision of what vegetarians/vegans are..they think you eat salad all day and throw up at the sight ofmeat? Im unlike most vegans.
Im not a big fan of salad, I dont eat vegan cheese( still freaks me out) and I dont really like juice.
I want to know what dont people eat besides meat and dairy...
It's basically little bitter soybeans covered in a snot/saliva-textured ooze ...
Do you like soybeans and ooze?
I do not like them, faunablues.
I do not like soybeans and ooze.
Would you like them here or there?
I would not like them here or there.
I would not like them anywhere.

whoah, random seussiness.
Good show.
Why, thank you. That had been spinning around in my head all weekend, and I had to let it out.
I've never heard of natto either. It looks scary. I'd at least try to try it but . . .
We are so sheltered in our little Midwestern towns.
there are very few things I won't eat (grapes and radishes are the only things that come to mind), but I do have preferences....like, I'd prefer not to eat root vegetables, but I will if someone made them for me....I'd also prefer not to eat an orange, but I'd try some if offered...
I refuse to eat eggplant or anything that has to do with it! YUCK! :-X
Wow, I've never see natto before and I wish I hadn't! I don't think I'll be trying that.
I don't eat red radishes. I like daikon though.
I used to hate mushrooms but my taste has been changing slowly over the years. I love chewy mushrooms like shiitakes. Baby bellas can be good in some things. I don't think I've ever purchased white mushrooms though; they really don't appeal to me.
I'm not a fan of really bitter salad greens, but I'll eat them if just some are mixed in with plainer lettuces and there is a nice dressing. I don't eat a lot of salads though.
I guess there isn't a whole lot that I refuse to eat, but I'll sometimes leave excess mung bean sprouts or chunks of celery on my plate at a restaurant. I like celery, but not in Asian cuisine.
I've never heard of natto either, and now I'm too scared to look at those video links, so I won't.
And to all you mushroom haterz....how could you!?! I hate you all now....mushrooms are the bestest thing ever.
Oh, yeah, mung sprouts are so overrated. (The big long white ones, I mean. Nice, crunchy, just-sprouted beans are pretty good.)
mung bean sprouts - blegh
soybean sprouts - blegh
alfalfa sprouts - blegh
lentil sprouts - blegh

In the case of the natto, I think our being sheltered might be a blessing. In HS I used to eat really cheesy beans a lot. It kind of looks like that. I have soaked, forgotten, and subsequently forgotten beans before. They kind of look like that. The idea of eating that slime sets up my gag reflex.
Recently upon walking into a typical grocery store I loose my appetite.
I am finding packaged, processed, altered food extremely unappealing.
I am completely content with fruit, dried fruit, nuts, seeds and vegetables.
Sprouts are interesting and delicious.
<--- and... likes the natto, gobo and umeboshi
Onions. Cilantro.

I like gobo and ume too. Ume is so expensive though!
Tempeh...I could leave it rather than take it. I can eat pre-made seitan, but for some reason whenever I eat the home made kind I get seriously bloated and ummm "gassy". :-\ I don't think there's a veggie that I don't like. Fermented tofu, yuck, and after reading thru the posts I was reminded of natto..double yuck.
Onions. Cilantro.
OUTTA MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!
onions are AMAZING!!!!
I don't "love" vegan cheese, but if I'm hardcore craving something cheesy, I'll eat it.
Kombucha absolutely horrifies me. I will never try it.
Mushrooms are the most disgusting vegetable in my opinion.
I cannot stand tofu, no matter how it's prepared. Ew!
:hrmm: I hesitantly hypothesise that I would try kombucha, if a glass was offered to me from a reliable (hygienic) source.
I've never really known what kombucha is, but having googled it, I think I would try it.
I think kombucha is gross. But I guess I'm just not a fan of drinking things that taste like vinegar.
