5 cups apples, thinly sliced
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup oil
1 tablespoon nondairy milk
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Boil apples in water for 2 minutes to soften them up. Strain and place at the bottom of a square cooking dish.
2. Mix remaining ingredients until you get a flaky texture (if too moist, add a little bit more flour and mix well). Sprinkle over the apples and even out with a spoon.
3. Place dish in oven and bake 30 minutes. Allow to cool before eating.
Source of recipe: I try to use vegan margarine as little as possible when I cook, so finally decided to create a vegan margarine free apple crisp recipe, since I love this dessert so much. I hope you enjoy this!
