1 can garbanzo beans or fresh if you can!
2 tablespoons oil
2 gloves fresh chopped garlic
1 tablespoon Sriracha chili garlic sauce (optional)
3 oranges, juiced
splash of soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
5 tortillas
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cut tortillas into slices. When oven is done preheating, coat tortillas in olive oil and bake 20 minutes.
Saute garlic and oil in a pan. Add chickpeas and allow to simmer for three minutes. Add juice of oranges, chili sauce, soy sauce and spices and let simmer 10 minutes.
Mash using fork or a masher -- I mash about halfway, because I like the thicker consistency. If smoother is your thing, throw it in a food processor. Chickpeas should absorb all liquid, leaving a creamy consistency. If too dry, add water or more orange juice.
