one package veggie hot dogs
hot dog rolls
1 cup very small broccoli florets
Sauce:
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 cup Braggs or soy sauce (or combo)
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 cloves of garlic, minced
that same amount of ginger, minced
4 dried chili peppers
1-3 tablespoon Agave nectar or Brown rice syrup
2 tablespoon arrowroot or cornstarch to thicken
To make the sauce, combine all liquids in a medium sauce pan. Add chilies, minced garlic and ginger. Bring to a boil then turn down to a simmer for 5 mins. Add your sweetener and stir. Taste till it seems right to you.
Put thickener in a small bowl. Add sauce by the spoonful and stir it up good, about 1/4 cup total. (If u add the starch right to the sauce it will clump up) Once u have a runny pancake batter consistency, add it all to the sauce pot. Make sure the sauce doesn't boil. Stir constantly on a low-med simmer till thickened. It will thicken more as it cools.
Chop the steamed broccoli small enough so that it will fit on a hot dog bun (It should only take a minute or two to steam).
Cook the hot dogs according to package, certain brands do weird stuff if u don't cook them properly. Toast the buns. Build some not dogs and brag to your friends.
