tempeh
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon crushed red peppers
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
Slice the tempeh into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
Mix the oil and spices together. (You can use whatever you have on hand to adjust it to your level of spiciness.)
Heat the oil and spices over a medium-low flame.
Add the tempeh strips. Cook for about 2 minutes or until golden brown, and flip over. Cook for 2 more minutes.
I just like eating these as-is, but I'm sure they'd be good with BBQ sauce, too.
