1/2 cup fresh hummus
2-3 small tomatoes, diced
1 small onion, diced
juice of two limes (about 2-3 tbsp)
dash of cayenne
dash of salt (to taste)
cilantro (optional)
Place all ingredients in food processor and blend for very short amount of time until quite smooth. I recommend adding the cilantro in afterwards to that the green color doesn't make the sauce look like algae....
I found that it worked much better when the chunks were small so that they all stayed on the burger. Goes very well with the Amazing Lentil Burgers!
