1/2 cup water
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1 teaspoon dry basil
salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup vinegar
1 pound small to medium button mushrooms, sliced
oil, for frying
1. For marinade, mix water, garlic, basil, salt, pepper and vinegar in fairly large container with a lid.
2. Put mushrooms in marinade, close the lid, shake well and let it stand in a fridge for at least 3 hours.
3. Drain mushrooms (you can now remove garlic of you don't like it) and heat oil in a large frying pan.
4. Fry mushrooms until golden tossing constantly for about 5 minutes.
Serve as a side dish, in sandwiches, salads or stirfrys.
