1 apple, chopped into wedges
1/4 cup raisins
1 to 2 teaspoons raw sugar or organic brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1. Arrange apples in a small, microwave-safe dish. Add raisins and sugar, and dust with cinnamon.
2. Give it a quick stir or shake to coat the apples with the cinnamon and sugar.
3. Microwave for about 2 minutes (time will vary widely). Serve immediately.
Paired with a steaming mug of chai tea, this is a decadent, healthy after dinner treat! The fact that it's about one of the easiest desserts in the world to make, but comes out looking like you're a gourmet chef doesn't hurt, either.
Source of recipe: I wrote this recipe. I had heard about college students using the microwave to do something with apples, but had never seen it done, so I experimented a bit and did it myself.
