Easy Chewy Gooey Brownies

What you need: 

2 cups white all purpose flour
2 cups white granulated sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil (or SLIGHTLY less than half)
1 teaspoon vanilla

What you do: 

Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit.
Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix wet ingredients together in a medium sized bowl.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix well.
Pour mixture into oiled/floured square tin pan.
Bake 25-35 minutes (depending on your oven - I bake for 35 minutes).
LET COOL BEFORE SERVING (very important)

SO HOW'D IT GO?

These really are easy and chewy!  I wanted a quick chocolate fix, and these were perfect.  I've been looking for a brownie recipe just like this for ages!  Thanks, staciejaye!

I would make only two suggestions: stir the choco chips in after mixing the wet and dry ingredients together (it's just easier) and use a 9" X 13" pan.  This recipe is being moved up to the front of the recipe box as my standard brownie recipe.  :)
