My dog has awful diarrhea. Is there anything I should do? I feel so bad. She's miserable.

My mom and step-dad feed their dog rice when she's sick. Seems to help.

That makes sense, like eating toast when you're sick. I might try that. Thanks.

No, the only homeopathic thing we've used for her is for fleas. She doesn't get sick very often. Ripped apart by bobcats and coyotes, more often. What would be in the kit?

Rice can be a bit rough on some dogs... Potatoes, maybe? I knew this dog once with a horribly sensitive system, and he lived on potatoes and white fish.

Thanks, mdvegan. That's awesome advice. She had tapeworms about a month and a half ago, so its a concern. I've had her on a liquid diet so far, and wasn't sure if I should feed her. Thanks again, guys.

Watch for dehydration by monitoring fluid intake and gums. If the gums are dry, the dog might be getting dehydrated. I learned this the hard way when one of mine got colitis and had to stay overnight for fluid resusitation. She immediately felt better after getting some fluid.
Good luck. Rice is indeed a gentle food, as is scrambled eggs which my vet suggested. (Obviously no good for vegans.)
