This was pretty kick ass. It was a little smaller than I had anticipated, but a great turnout nonetheless! Got to see vd and her friend again which was a plus! :) Every local organization was well represented, and you could find just about every veg delicacy you can think of- pizza, cakes, kale chips, etc! There was even a "vegan bodybuilding" booth- I should have taken more pics!

Yeah, it was really nice. I too was surprised at how small it seemed, especially because I showed up right at the start, before everything was set up and before the crowds arrived. But once it filled in, it was plenty to keep me occupied for 4 hours (not noticing the terrible sunburn I was getting on my face). I talked to a bunch of people at the rescue and advocacy booths, picked up a few stickers and things, bought the book "Ninety-Five" from one of the authors, and ate way too much.
Someone handed me a free Purely Decadent ice cream sandwich first thing (woohoo!). Later on, I foolishly opted for the big plate at the Love Cafe table and completely stuffed myself on BBQ tofu, tofu chicken, chili, collards, and beans and rice (the two tofu dishes were great--the rest was OK). Then I was way too full to sample items at all of the vegan bakery booths. (I did find room for a bite-sized peanut butter blondie.) I bought my first-ever vegan doughnut (cinnamon twist) to have the next morning (the icing was good but the dough itself was kind of flavorless. Oh well). I can't believe I missed the pizza. Damn.
