So, I met up with this guy I met online. We went out and had some drinks, had good conversation, then went back to his place to watch some TV. We made out quite a bit and all seemed well. He texted me the next morning saying he had fun and hoped I did too, well later on that day I asked him what the verdict is on another date. No reply. Skip to the next afternoon when he tells me he doesn't know how he feels about another date and he's not sure we have that much in common!
Talk about being blindsided! He kept giving bullshit excuses why he doesn't want to see me, while at the same time saying he had a great time! ::) I e-mailed him saying we can hangout if ever feels like it with no pressure or drama. I guess I shouldn't be giving him another shot especially since he doesn't seem to want one, but it went so well and I don't know what I did to make him never want to see or talk to me again!

This is true. This is also true about many girls. It depends on the individual but some will move on to other guys/gals. Some people just enjoy the companionship of going places, doing things, conversing, just hanging out without feeling pressured to do anything sexual. They do exist. I know it.
Just find out what works for you, be confident in those things and you'll find someone who appreciates you, your wants/needs/desires and quirks. :)

I'll second that. I prefer the platonic company of women. I grew up with just a sister close to my age. In college I shared a very small house with two women and one of them became a very close friend. We would go out to clubs as she was looking to meet guys and I girls. She was beautiful so I was more than happy to be seen with her. We even went backpacking once. I was the gentleman, giving her the tent while I slept in the hammock. She assured me it was okay for me to sleep in the tent. By 2AM I was sharing her sleeping bag because it was so f-ing cold. There was no hanky-panky, nothing sexual. Just keeping warm. It is so cool to have that sort of a relationship with a woman with absolutely no sexual tension. I like having female friends but it is so hard for a straight guy to find platonic girlfriends. I wish there were personal adds for such things.

eta: I'm guilty of giving some people my time when I shouldn't. I'm a sucker for learning about everyone and I feel everyone has something to bring to the table. But one of the greatest things I've learned - don't give your time to someone who doesn't appreciate it or isn't willing to do the same.
