Reasons to be really fucking pissed off

I hate everyone and everything right fucking now.

im mad because me and my "best friend" are fighting.

im mad because i can't trust anyone that i care about to actually stick around.

im mad because i wanted to release all my anger on a great run and i can't run because my Achilles tendon was hurting too much and i couldn't even do half of my normal run.

im mad because while attempting to run i spontaneously broke out into tears.

im mad because i still feel fat and ugly even though i've been working so hard.

im mad that i feel that way despite everyone telling me that i've lost weight.

That all sucks, vh  :(

Would you feel better if you elaborated on some of those? Writing it all out might help sort things out.

It's probably not at the heart of the problem, but I can relate to the frustration with running injuries. I get used to running, to the point that if I don't or can't for a while I get really antsy and unable to get out that unused energy. I used to get injured all the time, and it was frustrating because I tried doing other exercise which just wasn't the same for me, and when I'd still run even if I wasn't feeling 100%, which inevitably made things worst (but I always felt I could play the odds).

I initially took up running just to be able to run and also because I was having a lot of problems, and using that energy and becoming exhausted was really therapeutic for me in a weird way. Maybe that's the case for you too, and in which case it's even worse when you can't run. Other than exercising, can you find another outlet meanwhile? Like writing, drawing, whatever might make you feel better without hurting your achilles? =)

yeah running is what has kept me from turning to my ED all summer. i actually don't think ive binged since i started running.

and all of this started because my friend was mad at me because on my birthday i said i only wanted girls to come, which meant her fiancée couldn't come. but all my girl friends ended up bailing so i invited my guy friend. and then she wrote that she was going to the beach on facebook and i wrote "thanks for the invite. hahah just kidding" and that apparently hurt her so much it brought her to tears. whatever.

so she didn't talk to me for a week and a half and thats when i decided to ask her if she was mad at me. then we get into this huge discussion about how i should be sorry she misunderstood my actions (she thought i was doing those things on purpose to hurt her. wtf!) and how im so horrible and blah blah blah everything that i do is wrong. so then she said she didn't wanna talk about it through text and i told her whenever she was ready, to call me. a week later, she still hasn't so i messaged her and we get into another huge debate on who's wrong and stupid high school bullshit. and finally i said "fine, I'M FUCKING SORRY YOU MISUNDERSTOOD MY ACTIONS AND THAT YOUR FEELINGS GOT HURT. but understand, i did NOTHING wrong." and then i wished her luck in marriage and life (she said she wanted to start distancing our friendship, so i probably won't even be invited to her wedding). then she writes "awww <3 i know how hard saying sorry was. know that i love ya and we can get through anything" WHAT?! NO WE FUCKING CAN'T BITCH. YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU WANNA BE DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM ME. THATS NOT GETTING THROUGH SHIT. THATS NOT BEING MY FRIEND, YOU FUCKING MORON, AND THATS NOT GETTING THROUGH ANYTHING.

so whatever. and yeah, hopefully dance won't hurt me too much.

Well crap... now *i'm* pissed off, partly cause all 'a that SUCKS, and I'm pissed off on your behalf!.. and partly 'cause there's nothing in it I feel like I can argue about.  ::)

For what it's worth, though, when you're thinking of alternate stress-management exercise strategies... cycling is awesome, and much lower impact on joints and tendons... I like running; I like the crossramp trainer at the gym; I like hiking; I like a lot of exercise stuff... but I recently re-acquired a bike, and holy moly-- had forgotten how fun it is! easy to work harder/ still enjoy it/ not aggravate body parts, compared to running, for me... also: swimming! if you have access to a pool or lake or such, swimming is extremely easy on injured bits... pool therapy is popular in rehab circles for just this reason. You could lay tummy-down on a kickboard, with the board under your hips, and do laps with just your arms while your achilles heals (haha, pun intended!)... even if it's not your fave exercise method, physiologically it will have the same effect re: mood & stress relief.

There's a really good book called 'Spark: the Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain' that I highly recommend... written by an MD but in layman's terms, it compiles current research on how exercise affects your brain-- and stress relief/ mood regulation get their own chapters!... Basically, anything that raises your heart rate to about 80% of your theoretical maximum, for about half an hour about 4-5x per week, will provide equivalent neuro stim/ stress relief/ mood stabilization... I hope you can find a way to get this beneficial effect, WITHOUT worsening your tendon problem, so it can heal quickly and you can get back to your preferred exercise paradigm ASAP!

Dealing with other humans: it's just *always* problematic, isn't it??!! Hang in there! We're all pissed off *with* you, if that helps at all.  :P

Some people don't deserve to breed.  There should be some kind of test and mandatory sterilization for those that fail.

mdvegan ~ Please tell your husband; 'Happy Belated First Father's Day!' for me.

Happy Father's Day mr mdv!! : )

The head of the Employers and Manufacturers Association here went on the radio yesterday morning to say that it's ok that women are paid less than men because they need to take more sick leave than men do, due to looking after sick children and due to their 'monthly sickness'.  um, what?

http://www.3news.co.nz/Alasdair-Thompson-Sorry-but-its-true/tabid/369/articleID/216242/Default.aspx

when interviewed on tv about his claims, he was asked to provide figures to back up his argument that women do take more sick days:

"I can't because I haven't got the information on me.

3 News asks if he had any rough figures to back up his claims.

"I don't do roughly," says Mr Thompson.

He says he wasn't talking about all women or even a large proportion, because many control their "monthly sickness" with Panadol.

3 News asked if he truly believed the menstrual cycle was really big enough a problem it would impact on women's productivity.

After a long pause, he said "cut" and the interview was over.

What a fucking idiot.

WOW!!!! that guy is like the definition of douchebag

That's ridiculous.  Personally, I know for a fact that I've taken more sick days due to migraines than my "monthly sickness."  If I worked for that man, I'm sure I'd have migraines at least once a week.

OMG, oww - I was just about to post about that.  i mean seriously!!  I have taken a total of 1.5 days off sick in the past 6 years (possibly 7, I can't remember my training year) and none of those have been period related.  It's just ridiculous.  I know I am much less likely to take a day off sick because I am having 'women's issues' than any other reason, because it just feels like I shouldn't.

Not saying that's everyone's view but grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For this I burned my bra?

I should rather have burned his Y-fronts. With him still in them.

I am a peace-loving woman, but honnetment, là.  :boooo:

Last night I went to the hospital to keep my roommate and friend company. It was bar none the worst ER/hospital experience either of us have ever witnessed/had....

She left the party earlier in the day due to having abdominal pain (she was pressing in on her appendix area) that wasn't related to her kidney issues.

Between them forgetting about getting her bloodwork BEFORE she was given a room (they were turning away ambulances, they were so full), forgetting her pain meds, a sadist bitch of an x-ray tech who pushed on her right hip and then yelled at her for doubling over, getting eyes rolled at us, and a horrid dr who never even saw fit to introduce himself to us, much less try and figure out what was causing her pain. I was ready to stalk down the halls, limping with my cane and smack the shit out of the people who made my friend cry and sob with it.
