Y'aright veg*ns! ;)b
Here's another "hello" type thread, from me in south London.
I've been vegan almost three years and was vegetarian a couple of years before... I turned vegetarian after a climate change march and vegan after reading a book called Eating (Singer and Mason).
I work in the public sector at the moment and am looking to do an evening course at a university in London, probably focussing on development studies or international relations.
I one day dream of having a job as a campaigner, or building campaigns or doing research. I'd also like to live in several different countries around the world, but that is on hold for now.
Um... That's it I guess. :>
Hi and welcome!
I'm in London too!! I know there are lots of vegans in London, but I only kno two in real life, s oyour post excited me lots!
I'm up in NW London (Kilburn) - whereabouts are you?
So do you have any favourite veggie restaurants / take out places in London? There are so many about, I do think we aree lucky.
although I am moving to NZ soon
Oh, I live south London, near Brixton.
I turned vegetarian after a climate change march and vegan after reading a book called Eating (Singer and Mason).
I wonder if that's the same book I'm reading now, under a different title for the U.S. market: The Way We Eat: Why Our Food Choices Matter by Singer and Mason. It traces sources of food for three American families. Is that it?
Welcome!
