Almost "free at last, free at last"!
As most of you know, I've been living at home for the past 3 months due to taking the new very low paying non-profit job.
On Monday I found a cute little 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment that's really nice. It's actually a garage apartment (over the detached 2 car garage) and has a private entrance. It's about 650 sq. ft which is smaller that what I had, but will be more than enough room for the 3 babies and me. It's certainly not a forever apartment, but it'll be a great starter place.
The coolest part is that it's less than 4 miles from work, it's in a really quiet neighborhood, it's on a little lake and my new landlord is including utilities, a land line, cable and internet in the rent.
I'm getting the keys tomorrow after work and I'll actually move in on Sunday!! I am SO excited that I can hardly sit still :D

Actually, the landlord is pretty interesting, I think he's a true genius. He's one of those people who's so intelligent that they have a hard time with regular conversation. He's so quirky - I love it!

Congrats Jewel. I love living in my own place. If you want to leave undies laying in the middle of the living room floor you can do it!!! I have been living in various 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartments for the past 6 years (Oi, I can't believe it has been that long!). I am moving back in with my omni mom in a few months and it is going to be very difficult to adjust, but I know that it is only for a few months then the kid and I will move into a 2 bedroom 1 bath, probably, somewhere...not sure where though...
