Amnesia and Vegan..

I do not have a degree in any topic like this but I thought about it last night.. a quick search on google and it seems there's not many questions like it... just one sort of like it.
If a vegan got amnesia, do you think they would have an instinct not to eat meat?
I'm sure the time you've been vegan or your beliefs in it would effect it?
I almost feel like I would know I didn't want it or like it... but I don't know.....
Well I'm not vegan but from what I read on VW anyone who is and has been for any length of time is grossed out by the smell of it, the look, the texture etc. Losing your memory doesn't change your tastes and distastes. It doesn't eliminate phobias, either. (Not that phobias have anything to do with veganism. But an amnesiac with a strong phobia will still have the phobia even though they can't remember why they're afraid of the trigger.)
hah, I thought this was going to be another thread of someone linking an unrelated illness to their veganism.
I guess we won't know for sure until one of us has amnesia or dementia or the like. I'm guessing like yabbit said that a distaste would remain, but the person might not remember why (might just attribute it to not liking meat in general, rather than associating it with an ethical objection).
I don't need much reminding of how much dairy hurts my stomach. I think I'd figure it out pretty fast that I don't want to eat it. Same probably goes for all the other foods we haven't eaten in years--I suspect a major tummy ache would be in store.
My daughter ate a peice of chicken that was hinden in a pile of beans at a restaurant when she was too young to know that she ate different from anyone else. She was scraping it off her tongue, and for a while I thought she was going to vomit. I've never heard of anyone else actually disliking chicken, but she is a lifelonc vegan for the most part. I think if someone had been a vegan for long enough to dislike meat/dairy/eggs, then they would still not like them. As far as remembering being vegan and avoiding foods for that reason, I doubt that would happen.

Your daughter rocks.
