Any vegan eats at Yankee Stadium?

...So I'm a lifelong Yankees fan who is FINALLY going to Yankee Stadium to see a game! (I've been to Fenway many times and hate the Sox, go figure!) I was wondering if anyone had been there and could tell me if there are any vegan options. I'll pack a PB&J if I have to but since I'll be driving up from RI, whatever I bring will have to last a long time. Thank you!

Here's a thread about food at a particular field.
I'll look up the food at yankee stadium for you ;)
Sweet, thanks!! :)
This is proving much more difficult...
Apparently they have Gardenburgers...

Maybe you should switch to being a Mets fan (I know blasphemy, right? ;))... but Shea Stadium has Vegan Dim Sum!!!
soft pretzels are easy to come by, along with peanuts & cotton candy, cracker jacks....not healthy, but hey everyone else will be eating hot dogs & ice cream.
Jennifer are you saying Vegan Dim Sum will be available when I see a Mets game this summer in NY? I've never had dim sum, vegan or otherwise, so it sounds interesting.
Anything else vegan available and I am going to Shea Stadium (according to the implication in your post) for this game, correct?
I only know that it's baseball bc the person who arranged the outing said so. I find sport of all types BOOOORRRING, so I am now looking forward to partaking of some good grub whilst there rather than just running my mouth the entire time.
From the link I posted above
Shea Stadium New York Mets
Among the vegetarian choices offered by 45 food stands and 13 vending stations at Shea Stadium are French fries, popcorn, peanuts, Cracker Jacks, soft pretzels, fruit cups, and Carvel low-fat yogurt. Stadium catering for the Diamond Club and Diamond View suites has many more vegan and vegetarian options. These include "Maple Roasted Beet Salad," "Wild Mushroom Salad," "Vegetarian Dim Sum," Vegetable Crudite," and "Cold Sesame Noodles." According to ARAMARK all of those are vegan. (Foodservice Provider: ARAMARK)
BTW, those listings show vegetarian AND vegan foods at the parks so one may need to look into it even more.
Soft pretzels may or may not be vegan (think egg wash on the outside)
i think the pretzel thing itself is vegan, but, you'll have to tell them not to coat it in the melted butter before they hand it to you.
Or Yankee Stadium, for that matter :'( I've googled it and people invariably say that the food is average, not very plentiful, and expensive. Guess I'll be secreting in a PB&J and some Larabars! 8)
Three Rivers Stadium
Pittsburgh Pirates
Vegetarians can chose from nachos, pan pizzas, and frozen yogurt. For vegans there are peanuts, popcorn, potato chips, and soft pretzels. The Lounge Box Suites offer fresh fruits and vegetables, brushetta, roasted vegetable salad, grilled vegetable panini, and vegetarian strudel (vegetable mousse and risotto Milanese wrapped in phylo dough and roasted red pepper coulis). (Foodservice Provider: ARAMARK)

Stop it, you're seriously making me question my allegiance to the Yankees! D*mn Steinbrenner, with all the money you have, you could throw us a freakin' (veggie) bone!
Sorry!! :D
This is an older link BTW and the company who did Yankee Stadium's food (Volume Services) I have since found out has either changed it's name or changed entirely to a company call Centerplate. I tried to look at their site to see what they have listed as provided for Yankee Stadium but they don't have it listed. Maybe you can call???
Just remember that because of security (especially in NY) you should take a bunch of tiny packs of food or they might make you toss something :(
Good call...and thanks for all of the help, BTW. I was only joshin' ;D
Wetzle Pretzles are NOT vegan...supposedly they have egg in them...if any one has any oinfo to teh contrary, id liek to know, casue I <3 pretzles...
That's what I was saying... ususally that nice even dark brown color is the result of an egg wash before baking. But pretzels are cooked in different ways... so who knows.
So I went to the Yankees game on Saturday and I had an AWESOME time!! I'm a diehard Yankees fan who lives in Red Sox nation so it was awesome for me to see a game in the Bronx!
Anyhoo, the point I wanted to make was that I had a giant soft pretzel with mustard for lunch and Cracker Jacks for a snack. I'm not sure if the pretzel was vegan but I figured what I don't know won't hurt me ;) Between that and the Cracker Jacks I was plenty full and had a Lara bar in my purse anyway. There definitely aren't many veggie options that I could see anyway - mostly hot dogs, burgers, sausages, cheese pizza, etc. I also saw that many people brought in their own food in clear plastic bags, so next time I might pack a sandwich.

Even though I'm a lifelong Red Sox fan I think I can help you out with a great snack to bring to the Stadium with you. Rat poison, razor blade and mustard sandwiches go really well with a Yankee game. Make sure you bring extra and pass them out to the other Yankee fans in the seats around you.
Just kidding. Have a good time. Quick question for you though- I always wondered something. As a Red Sox fan when I hear the number .406 I always think of Ted William's batting average. Does the same number make Yankee fans think of Mickey Mantle's blood alcohol level? ;D

I'm laughing on the inside ::)
