Anyone know what this plant is?? (PIC)

my BF and I went to the Public Market this morning and he got me this beautiful plant/flower and the vendor siad it was a Glacus but i jut googled it because i need to know how to take care of it. but it just came up with other plants and flowers and something about a greek god named Glaucus

i'm hoping someone knows what this is  :-\

I don't know what specific type of plant it is, but it sort of looks like plants some people call "succulents".  Basically a cactus-y plant with fat leaves.  Here's a website about them:

I have one and I follow the "water when it's dry" approach.

You could post the pic on yahoo questions too.

Looks like a very large version of what my teacher had on her desk in a cup. She called it "hen and chickens" because it self-propagates. She gave it to me at the end of the year (I was in 4th grade) and I put it in a big pot and it grew like mad and looked kind of like that without the "spires" standing up.

I can't figure out the exact species, but I'm pretty sure it's some type of Echeveria.

Echevarria...wasn't he a Spanish tennis player? Yeah, I think he played Wimbeldon for Spain a couple of years ago. ;D ;D ;D
I know what you meant!

Yeah, definitely a succulent. Here is a wikipedia page on succulents, kinda cool if you ask me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Succulent

Maybe this one: http://www.desert-tropicals.com/Plants/Crassulaceae/Echeveria_runyonii.html

If it's not in the crassula family, I would say it could be in the Agave family.

By the way, it's nice you posted a picture with a flower. Flowers always make plants easier to identify, and also I get excited when I see flowering succulents because I don't see it a lot (still waiting for my jade plant to flower one day).
