Bad Weekend

I've had a bad weekend and I missed everyone so I just wanted to pop in and say hi.
I lost a good friend this weekend and I can't stop crying. It was a motorcycle accident and he was killed instantly. I just can't bare the fact that I won't ever get another 'Jimmy' hug. He was such a loving sole.
I am so mad at him!!! He always pushed the envelope and used up his nine lives years ago. I have lost several friends the last few years and am tired of going to funerals.
If you are a motor cycle rider PLEASE be careful.
I am so sorry.
Oh my, Im so verry sorry. Its difficult to lose a friend adn I think its even harder when its unexpected like that...Let your family and friends comfort you in this time, it's not meant to be gone through alone.
Oh, I'm so sorry! My heart goes out to you. I have a feeling you'll be getting a lot of vegweb hugs at least. :'(
(((((Taneva)))))
My sympathies. His "Jimmy hugs" make him sound like he was a great guy.
oh ((((((( tanevab ))))))))!! I'm so sorry. :'(
Let us know if we can do anything... honestly.
I'd also like to mention for other drivers to be careful OF motorcyclists.
Sorry to about that. Motorcycles are such an efficient means of transportation. They use very little gas, and don't take up much parking space. As Jennifer said, I think most drivers of cars need to pay attention to motorcyclists. I don't own one, but have plenty of friends that do, and have taken long road trips on them before. It's much harder to come to a quick stop, or swerve around an idiot driving a Hummer talking on a cellphone while applying lipstick on a bike then it is in a car. Too dangerous for me to ever want to own one. Sorry again to hear about your loss.

It sounds like Jimmy was obviously doing something he loved when he died. I'm sure he would have preferred it that way--but not that soon. I add my sorrow to the list of other VegWebbers who wish we could do something to ease the pain of those left behind. You're in my thoughts.
So sorry about your friend. :'( I know that if I was going to be killed, I'd pray it'd be instantly so I wouldn't suffer. I hope your Jimmy felt the same way.
I am so sorry about your friend. :'( ((((( tanevab ))))) You are in my thoughts.
thank you for reminding all motorcyclist to be careful.
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. :'(

This is very true. He left behind five young children.
Thank you all for your kind words. It is therapeutic to get away to the boards to say hi now and then.
We all knew that Jimmy wouldn't be long on this earth. I think that's why any time I saw him I tried to 'soak' in as much of him as I could. I just wasn't prepared for it to be so soon. We were all supposed to get together this past week for a long weekend of skydiving, laughing, getting in as much trouble as we can, and telling old stories. When I got the call I was devastated. I know it just won't be the same without him.
Thanks for reminding people to watch out for cyclist too. In this case it was definitely his own mistakes. I am just glad that no one else was injured and that he didn't suffer. I do many sports that many consider too risky but motorcycles are something that I have always stayed away from. There are just too many uncontrollable factors.
Please cherish those who are in your life and always let them know how much they mean to you. And be as safe as possible doing whatever it is you do.
I'm so sorry Taneva. :'( It sounds like it was a treasure to be able to know him.
I am so sorry to hear it - especially for the sake of his children and their mother. :'(
My community has discussed how to encourage motorcyclists to be safe. We haven't come up with any solutions. I live in a mountain resort area and the road to my community is windy. Over this past weekend there were three overturned vehicle accidents and one fatal motorcycle accident. Every couple of months there's another motorcyclist death because of controllable factors (speed) and uncontrollable factors, such as earthquake joints on bridges, wind, slick roads, etc. It's horrible.
I'm very sorry. You're in my thoughts.
i'm so sorry that happened to you, there were 2 motorcycle crashes this past weekend here as well
and it always scares me to hear about them because my BF drives one
you and his family will be in my prayers
I wish all the best and I'm so sorry. My heart goes out to you. My prayers are with you and his friends and family. It's okay to cry. It's not easy losing someone you love.
