This reminds me of some clever stop-frame animation from France called "Les Animaux des Quatre Saisons" (Animals of the Four Seasons). They were little tales about animals in the jungle, all made of fruit and veg. The main character was a bird made from radishes and her pal the pear-headed orange elephant with leek legs! The "jungle" was made of broccoli and pineapple tops and kiwi slices--very effective indeed!
