Funny story
I'm on the road most of the time so it's hard for me to eat a wide variety of foods. One thing I tried was to buy some vegan speghetti sauce at the grocery store and go into a restaurant to get hot pasta. First nobody wanted to bother with me, they called up the manager and out comes a sweet black lady who caters to my unique request of plain noodles. The look on her face was sorry concern and I knew she thought I was homeless but I couldn't say anything to the contrary without it looking even worse lol.
Then I go back to my vehicle to eat and open the tray. There must have been like 20 bucks worth of noodles and she only charged me 2 bucks. Took me two days to eat it all.
That was a Shoney's in Alabama by the way. Reallly good pasta too.
;D :D ;D
What a sweet lady. But poor Paul, did you really look that rough, like you were homeless then ?? :o ;)
It's always nice to see caring people out there.
Ya do get pretty ragged looking out on the road. I was almost embaressed by the whole thing and the really crazy thing was I think I read an invitation to her home in her face...sort if like bringing home a lost puppy I guess.
The people in that area are possibly the most hospitable people in the country. Actual they are, not probably. Not long ago I did a delivery of a motorhome that had been brought to the manufacturer for a full rehab. The lady I delivered it to said I looked tired and practically begged me to sleep at her home for the night LOL. Now that's just amazing to this northernboy.
