This little guy may be the newest edition to the CK / KP household.

WHAT A SWEETIE! I once had a guinea pig. His name was BOOTEN-BOOTEN!
want.
:)>>> he's so cuteeeeee.
Oh my, he's so cute. I love guinea pigs! They are the sweetest pets ever.
And I love their wheek, wheek, wheek!
I didn't realize guinea pig rescue existed! I want one!
Cutie pie. :)>>>
He's a darling. I hope everything works out.
I'm debating on whether or not we should change his name to Hugh Hefner since it will be him and 4 girls. 8-)
I'm not sure how Katie feels about it though. :-D ::) ;)
I mean, just look at the resemblance:

KMK, there's probably a rescue near you.
Channelwood, we have ours trained to wheek whenever we say certain things. I love making them wheek. :)
Will George have a round Hugh bed?
How do guinea pigs assimilate new additions? Do they go through a hierarchy thing like cats and dogs?
I have a friend who has a guinea pig called "Grosse Touffe". My friend read somewhere that guinea pigs were social creatures that needed to have as much attention as possible, so she decided to get another pig, "Mini Touffe". However, GT was antisocial as hell since everytime MT tried to approach her, she would try to bite her head off. Not a pretty sight. My friend had to give MT away, but all is well, because MT is being well taken care off and is now called "Biscuit".
So there, kids, my guinea pig story.
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :)>>>
I looked into it, and there are guinea pig adoption programs in CT. I'm getting one. I LOVE guinea pigs. Yay, rescue animals!
awwww! I love the colors/markings on his widdle face!
Wheeking is cool... mine liked the lettuce bag! Or anything that resembled it...
hugh.
Double h, they definitely establish dominance. They nip at and mount each other, as well as other things like raising their head to show who's in charge.
Melthibs, we had Babs first, Missy came second. They used to torment each other a lot, but when we got Bubbles and Muffin, they became a herd and mellowed out. Now they just bug each other when they're in heat.
KMK, YAY for guinea rescue! ;)b
Carrot, we should set up a playdate for our furry friends. :-D
Also, it appears as if Katie doesn't want to rename him to Hugh Hefner for personal reasons. Is there any other suave womanizer that he could be renamed to? ::) :P
Hmmmmm....maybe Austin Powers. ;D
Also, we haven't gotten a response email from the rescue yet, keep those fingers crossed. 8)
Don Juan? Casanova? (Too lame? ;))
Don Juan? Casanova? (Too lame? ;))
Ha, I like Don Juan. ;)b
We got a response, now we just have to set up a day to take the ladies to meet him and see how everything goes.
:)>>>
WOO HOO! Congrats CK!
Man, that Petfinder site is BAD. I just checked my zip code for "rabbit" for the hell of it and tons of matches came up. Since I live in a small town, I was *hoping* there would be no matches. Crap...you read an animal's story, look at their picture and the wheels start turning. I've wanted to get a rabbit for a while, but always used the rationale that I would have to adopt one instead of buy one from a pet store and never knew where to look for rescue rabbits. Who knew they were so plentiful!
(needs to stop reading bunny stories and looking at the pictures)
