i found this site today. freerice.com
you answer questions in different categories and for every correct answer, the organization donates 20 grains of rice. it's free, you don't have to sign up or anything...you just answer questions!
it's fun, and it's for a good cause!
so next time you're bored, go donate some rice! ;)b :)>>>
We've been doing this for a year my dear!

oh, I do love that site....makes me feel like a smartypants. ;D
but what I wanna know....HOW does this work, really?
If the rice is available, why does it take a certain number of clicks / correct answers to dole out the rice to those who need it?
From their site:
"If FreeRice has the rice to give, why not give it all away right now?
FreeRice is not sitting on a pile of rice―you are earning it 20 grains at a time. Here is how it works. When you play the game, sponsor banners appear on the bottom of your screen. The money generated by these banners is then used to buy the rice. So by playing, you generate the money that pays for the rice donated to hungry people."

That's why we have KMK here. She is all-knowing. I, in fact, wondered the same thing, but was way to lazy to find out... and besides, that damned free rice would have sucked me in for another round this year.
This site helps teach me french vocab ;D Yayyyy learning and ever so slowly feeding people!
