Goals...Our progress thread!

Well, I said I would start this thread today and I just sort of wanted to hide from the computer instead.
I reached some of my goals and not others.
I did not drink any Diet Coke. (felt totally lethargic today) I am trying to cut out Aspartame, not caffeine.  I drank fruit juice instead.  I also drank lots of water but I always do.
I did eat more fruits and veggies.  More then I normally do at least. Had about 6 servings in total.
I did however smoke but instead of my normal 25 cigarettes a day, I had about 7.
Didn't exercise other than walking Cali.  Not even a long walk as she is really sore today.
I truly feel exhausted. Was my first day back at work after being off for two weeks.
None the less, it is a beginning......  There would be no point me saying I didn't smoke or that I exercised because that would be lying to all of you and to myself.

Hope you all did well today and welcome to all of you who joined the goals thread.  Some of my goals are going to be way harder than my other goals.
For the people trying to gain weight, you probably get all the time...must be nice!  I know friends that also have or had to gain weight and I often think it is easier to lose weight than to gain weight when that is your issue.  One of my friends could eat and eat and eat and wouldn't gain an ounce.  She was about 15 pounds underweight.

Good luck all!

Di
P.S.  I did see the news story about soft drinks today and it was all over the news on TV tonight.

I finished a goal!  I did the 10-day Master Cleanse (lemonade diet).  I kept of journal of it in this thread.  I transiitoned for three days and this is my first day of eating normally.  Now, just that pesky OB/GYN appointment.

I am beginning week 4 as a non-smoker  (that's 22 days in); to be fair there have been a few cheats, but nothing serious or particularly enjoyable.  I am still on the patch and will probably remain on it for a least several more weeks.  I do notice when I forget it or am late putting one on.  Really alarmingly notice.  Although being addicted to the patch is less annoying than being addicted to cigarettes.  I also am proud to report that I've not gained a pound, but I've also drastically reduced my alcohol intake, so that may get credit.

So there ya go, I'm doing alright.....  :)

That's so great to hear Nutdragon!  I remember really feeling it when I forgot the patch or put it on late.  It really shows how crazy nicotine addiction is!!!  :D

Keep it up!!!!

good job on the quitting smoking nutdragon!

Ok, well I've done pretty good eating healthy. I dropped the 4lbs I gained pigging out, so Im happy about that. It's PMS week , so I've been eating some junk food..but overall I've been paying more attention to what I'm shoveling in my mouth.

Well, with no planning on my part, I weighed myself a month to the day of the last time. (I was getting quite depressed about my wieght). No change, at all. And that's good, considering I hadn't been taking care of myself...we had like 4 lunch dates with others in 10 days, which means extra desserts etc.

BUT the walkiing is so much better! I figure, Cali did her part by getting better so now I have to do my part even more! Yesterday I was out till late, but I did 10 min on the exercise bike because most of the being "out" was standing around. Today DH took me "walkies" before supper.
