great day

then ate some yummy pasta mom made.
then went over to an old friends house and played with a puppy german sheppard and basset.
fun day. what did you all do?

Struggled through a hundred pages of a boring book on the Cold War, read some Russian notes, had a light lunch and been messing about on the Internet most of the afternoon. Cooking vegetarian enchiladas for the family tonight.

I really want to see that film! As soon as my boyfriend comes to see me I'll drag him along.

can i take the harry potter class?
i've taken classes on the beatles, and jim henson, harry potter would definitely round out my education.

today i woke up in a cozy bed with someone that i kinda like.  went home, showered, went out to brekkie with my best friend, came home, did laundry, harassed poopface, later going to play pool and drink beer and watch a movie.  Also a lovely day you might say

My hubby and I explored some areas of a town about an hour away from us.  We found a HUGE book store, a pond with lots of ducks to feed, a dollar movie theater, a fountain, an art store (which for us is more like an art gallery because we could never afford anything), and a whole foods store where i found kumquats and red bananas and joy. ~^_^~

i'm not sure what the class is called but it's not called Harry Potter class. our teacher e-mailed us and said we had to buy the 7 books plus philip pullman's books (which i own, but i've never read) and one other one. that's a lot of reading. but i hate normal english classes so thumbs up to harry potter.

i saw despereaux yesterday too.  i thought it was terrible.  soooo slow, boring, not much of a story and had only a couple funny parts.  he looked cute but i was waiting for it to start telling a story or just end.  too bad the 4 year old i was with wasnt interested in benjamin buttons...

I had a lovely day, too. Well, lovely for me. I went to my newly renovated art museum in town. It was awesome. They had some very cool installations and an exhibit from Pedro Meyer. He is coming back to give a talk in a couple of weeks. I'm so there.

I also finally went to my local Indian grocer, bought cardamon pods for the first time, and then proceeded to make the most awesomest chai ever.

Then I read a book on comparative theology(by choice, I love that kind of stuff...)

I also drove by Chrissie Hynde(of the Pretenders)'s vegan restaurant called Vegeterranean...but I was alone and it looked kinda fancy and I didn't want to ruin my perfect day by going in there and feeling all dorky. So I just drove on by...

Overall, awesome. I am glad to hear of everyone else's fun adventures!

I am leveling up my cooking skill in World of Warcraft.... think I can go from 5-375 in a day? Hmm... I'm at 135 but it's taken me 3 hours. I may have to continue tomorrow.

Not a bad day, considering I have cramps and didn't want to do anything else anyway. I mean, it's dangerous for me to leave my apartment the first day of my period. At any moment, I may just lash out and kill someone. So, playing WoW all day and leveling cooking... probably a good idea.

My day consisted me of bossing someone around and being very bitchy. I don't mind being either, but it's not my job to boss anyone around! We are working as a team! I shouldn't have to repeat 4-5 times what I need and sounding like a dictator when I do it! And when I ask you to do something, don't ask me how it's done. You're the technician, you're supposed to know more about it than me! You studied in this and you have the diploma to show! It's against your union convention for me to actually try to work out your computer!!!

AH!!! It was a great day, full of puppies, rainbows and vegan marshmallows. It was awesome. Sundays! :P

Today we are doing sod merry all!! We can't have the big feed at night because of DH's acid reflux, so he is doing the cooking for lunch and we will crack open the champers (well, cava) then. We will have to stay up, though, because of the fireworks. We have lots of Chinese neighbours and they love shooting off whole packages of fireworks at a time at midnight...supposed to scare away bad luck, I'm told. The square outside our living room window acquires a blue haze of gunpowder smoke.

Good movies are on the schedule for today; I will be a good little shroom and go out and "walk Cali" for Di (and for me!) but that's about it.

This is a great day!  I just got word that my college funding has all been approved!!!!!!  Big relief for me.  They really had me worrying for awhile there.  So, it is going to be back to school and sitting up all night studying and worrying about exams....ahhhh heaven!
