Thanks for the wishes, Y'all.
I had a really great day with James and Our friend Akom.
James made a BBQ seitan roast, seasoned collards, and gumbo for dinner! He also made me a 3-layer rainbow cake with blueberries on the top and coconut-flavoured green icing all over it...which fell apart and looked like an earthquake ruptured it. But it was my first birthday cake in years, and it was James' first! (he's a master at pies, not a cake man). That cake was ugly and amazing and delicious. Another great VW-inspired treat!
