So how do you change your avatar? I uploaded a new profile picture, but I still see my cat next to my posts. Am I missing something that is probably very obvious?

Umm...I see you in your avatar, not a kitty. I always hear people talking about some sort of refresh button. Try that, or maybe log out and then log back in so you can see the change.

So you can change it just by uploading a new profile pic? There's no separate avatar upload? (I really should know this but I can't remember)

Yeah, your profile pic and avatar are one and the same pic, 'cept VW resizes it to show as an avatar. The first thing on your 'Edit Profile' page should be to do with loading a new profile pic. ;)

I've considered changing my avvy but it is so much a part of my personality now...OK, we know, I have no life... ;D The new one is pic of a street person with a sign that says: "Keep your coins, I want change."
Indeed.

BP,you're right; I can't change it. If I could draw I could write a series of children's books called "The Adventures of Toadstool Mushroom." But since shrooms aren't too mobile, it would have to have fantastic illustrations... Actually, the concept makes sense. The world, the adventures, would have to come to her, in her clearing in the woods. My world comes to me, pretty much, too. As I tell my students, "I'm agoraphobic...I don't get out much."
