How sad is this?

OK, so I got used to seeing gazpacho in cartons a few years ago (how hard is it to zip stuff in the blender?)
But I went to the supermarket and couldn't believe my eyes. Individual portions of cooked white rice?? In tinfoil pots?
Weird.
Processed foods: adulterated, poorly prepared foods that need huge advertising campaigns to convince the lazy consumer that they "need" them. And the lazy consumer responds with cash.
on a side note - has anyone else seen those commercials with that scary gross woman who rubs cashews all over herself and has men chasing after her? it makes me disgusted with the idea of eating cashews (temporarily, of course cus i really love them)

Nope, never seen that. Would disgust me too. I did see the commercial about the woman having a taco bell taco in her purse and using it to attract men in a bar. I found that gross too.

EW! Yes!!!
Back on topic--
Where do you all think salad bars fall into this? I'm incredibly guilty of overindulging in the market salad bar.
I noticed you picked a "threefer" for the "good" model--woman, attractive and fit, professional, AND African-American. Ooops, no, that's a "fourfer." Advertising would love you, too. Way to reach all of their focus groups in one fell swoop! Work in a mild, non-scary handicap and you'd have it all in one well-wrapped package.
(Sarcasm. Heavy, heavy sarcasm. I've just finished a month of classes with a 23-yr-old with a master's in...marketing.) ::)
;D I have a degree in television production, so I think I still waft of evil.
How sad is it (very sad) that people totally FREAK OUT when there's no paper towel in the bathroom. I always use the hand dryer anyway, but today I heard two people literally freak out when they noticed there was none..like "OMG, UGH, RIDICULOUS..." bleeblah. I'm not going to get more out of the closet either (at work) b/c I don't want people using them! I couldn't believe it.
