How sad is this?

OK, so I got used to seeing gazpacho in cartons a few years ago (how hard is it to zip stuff in the blender?)
But I went to the supermarket and couldn't believe my eyes. Individual portions of cooked white rice?? In tinfoil pots?
Weird.
Processed foods: adulterated, poorly prepared foods that need huge advertising campaigns to convince the lazy consumer that they "need" them. And the lazy consumer responds with cash.
yeah, we have that at trader joe's here. never seen it anywhere else.
I can top you. At wal*mart now, they sell individually wrapped prunes in a tube.

i haven't seen the tube, but while biking this summer one of my fellow bicyclists found individually wrapped prunes, immediately brought it over to me and says: "hannah, wha do you think about this?" knowing full well how i would go berserk. yeah...
Pre-sliced celery has always gotten to me. Chopping up a stalk of celery takes what...10 seconds?

I read this a couple of times wondering what the heck it had to do with cartoons....then I finally got it...man I am slow sometimes.
Yes I agree it is sad.

Individually wrapped PRUNES?
hahaha... does anybody know where i can find individually wrapped cashews? or coke in a glass harmonica?
sorry, this just reminded me of mitch hedberg's hotel mini bar joke.
AP, I've got the receipt for the individually wrapped prune at home...in the file...under P.
I super heart Mitch Hedburg (sp.) a TON. :)>>>

Truth. The Schwann's man sells them. My grandpa eats them all the time. They are flat like pop tarts and you cook them in the toaster.
ive seen cut up and wrapped apple slices. my sister actually buys them! ???
I've seen individually wrapped potatoes in plastic for MICROWAVING. haha. thats a REAL great idea there.
I had some roommates-from-hell once who bought potato salad and pasta salad in a box. Like, dehydrated potatoes and vegetables, which you boil until hydrated, add the dressing packet and chill. How hard is it to chop and cook real potatoes? Or at least buy the pre-made stuff from the deli. I can't imagine dried potatoes having the right texture.
i've seen pb and j individual and frozen
Haha, like those "Uncrustables."

i think i may have seen it. was it..SUDDENLY! pasta salad? my little brother and i saw that at walmart on the drive here and we thought it was hilarious..SUDDENLY! like OH MY GOD WHERE DID THAT PASTA SALAD COME FROM..hehe.
Lol, yeah I think that was it! It's so stupid...it takes the same amount of time to boil your own pasta and chop some veggies. Plus the stuff in the box STINKS while it's cooking.
oh haha. my mom bought me the boxed pasta when i went vegetarian. she was like. i dont know what you want to eat, but this says vegetarian on it, so here. it was awful!! oh my goodness. ewewew.
sometimes though.... i crave kraft mac and cheese... is that so horrible? ha
