why do some people type 'vegan' as 'veg*n'?
Is it for religious reasons? No reason at all? I was just curious about this, and couldn't figure it out as I haven't seen it written as such elsewhere
Not a stupid question. I didn't know what it was for a while either. Then someone told me. I'll let you in on the big secret. ;) The asterisk is used to encompass all of the people on this board. Instead of writing out: vegan, lacto-vege, ovo-vege......it would go on and on and never, ever end. ;D Hope I helped

That is how I interpreted it as well (vegan, vegetarian, etc...)
