Imaginary VegWeb party!
OK; imagine we're going to throw a VegWebber celebration! There will be room for everyone (guess we'd better hold it in a covered Olympic stadium or somewhere!) and there will be separate tables for vegan and ovo/lacto or both dishes. But everyone is free to taste from everything. There will probably be magic floating around so if only one person brings a delicious dish, there will be plenty to go around! ;)
There will be plenty of plugs for crockpots, and a BBQ facility somewhere to handle beanburgers etc. But most of the food should be brought cold. As this is an imaginary feast, money's no object in terms of ingredients! (If you're gonna dream, don't dream small!)
So, whatcha gonna bring, gang?
I think I'd bring my Dressed-Up Eggplant, and Strawberry Jam's awesome Tofu Chocolate Pudding! Along with a case of semi sweet cava!
You don't have to bring your own creations, feel free to plug someone else's recipe. I just did! :D
That's a difficult question! So many recipes to choose from!
I would probably bring a cold grain salad - Like a Carribean Rice Salad, or Thai Peanut Noodles.
And, vegans and potluck attendees always love their sweets - so I might bring Vegan Rice Krispy treats - and the Pineapple Upside Down Cake 8) from this site - it was a huge hit the last time I took it to a potluck!
ooooh, I know! I'd bring vegan chili dog casserole! You take a bunch of veggie dogs (too bad I'm botcoting morning star, cause they have the best veggie dogs) in their buns in a casserole pan. Slop some yummy homemade chili on top. And some sheeze on top and bake! Yum! Id bring it after its been in my fridge for one day---cause thats the best. ;) Id also bring an "edible arrangement" from work. Its a fruit bowl that looks like flowers!!!!

Stuffed peppers (middle-east style, I think) from one of Madhur Jaffrey's cookbooks. Since there's magic floating around, I'll have some vegan elves to help assemble them, so they won't be any trouble at all. And I'll bring pumpkin pie, too. Something that yummy IS NOT a once a year only treat.
Oh I'd bring my Asian Rice Bowl Salad that I made for the first time a couple weeks ago. And maybe some cheezy bean enchiladas and happy vegan cookies for dessert!!

Whats a potluck with out lasagna. I made it for the family last week with tofu as the ricotta and spinach and zucchini. YUMMY. A couple loaves of garlic bread(maybe the magic works for garlic breath) and blueberry apple crisp for dessert!!! I am hungry now!!!

Umm.... I know we've been getting really comfortable with our bodies and everything lately, but I'm not getting that comfortable!

I am bringing vegan cinnamon hazelnut biscotti, and chocolate chip walnut biscotti.
I think I will also brig some veggie sushi rolls with lots of avocado...

I'll bring Outrageously Big Bread (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=5716.0) and some really good olive oil. The Super Moist Chocolate Cake (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6686.0) and dance all night with TKitty's vegan elves. How fascinating would little vegan elves be? With their little vegan elf ears.
I'd bring my seitan with broccoli and garlic sauce, coleslaw and breadsticks (I put a ton a mayo in my coleslaw), spinach pizza and for dessert the basic yellow cake with chocolate frosting (the recipes from here).
