A little conversation can go a long way.
Maybe some of you remember a few months ago I was frantic about giving a speech on veganism in my English class. That was in January. I mde my presentation to a bunch of omnis who were expectedly closed-minded. I made them vegan cookies too. In the end people liked them, so all was well. Now at the end of the semester my English teacher had us write comments to each other and 11 of 21 people mentioned my speech, my cookies, or my diet. Lots of people still remember the cookies. Several people told me that I genuinely changed their view of meat. I felt like I really made some sort of impact because people are still talking about and remembering my debate from months ago. And the cookies, of course.
I jus tthought I'd share my moment of pride. :)
thats awesome that you made such an impact on a group of seemingly close minded people!! way to go!
Sweet... cookie diplomacy. :)
Just goes to show that one person can definitely make a difference...way to go! :)
;)b Be proud - that's awesome!
That is extremely awesome, Courth. Way to influence the youth!

Courth, that is so awesome!!
That's great! Way to be!
Well, I was raised on the dictum, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach." Maybe the way to a lot of people's brains is also through the alimentary canal! Nothing like good food to make a point. And if they remembered the cookies all this time, you KNOW they were goooooood!

Indeed! I've snagged boys this way. ;)
nice!
next time, we should try out the cupcake theory.
I've never converted anyone, but I've definitely opened a dialogue with vctotw. For our end of the year party at work, I'm gonna make mini-vctotw (haven't decided what kind yet). They know I'm vegan and don't get it it all, so I'm hoping the cupcakes will bring up some interesting discussion.
