I'm so sad...one of the reasons I moved here was because this little town had its own veg restaurant. I was so thrilled that I was able to go out for breakfast again. Only for 2 more weeks! :-\ :'(
I think NOW would be the time for all of you who want to open the vegweb restaurant to move to the mountains of WNC and open it here! Its a great location and cute little set up.....I wish I had the $ to do it!
I'm so afraid it might become a wing place or the bar behind it might expand.
Seriously, if any of you are interested, please PM me!
:'( That's sad. Are the owners moving, or was the restaurant not profitable?
Which restaurant and where? I live in Asheville.
The same girl had owned it for 10 years and it was pretty successful. About 9 months ago she sold it to a new guy who really didn't seem to know what he was doing. The food was good but he made a LOT of menu changes and deletions and they had super slow service. The lunch crowd just couldn't get in and out in a short enough time. He also seemed to have this negative energy about him that just didn't work! I feel bad for the guy...he was nice enough but was going through a divorce, and had to wait tables at Olive Garden at night just to make ends meet! According to my friend, he just said he was 'going under'.....
come on ya'll! Vegweb restaurant time! I will work there and make the best breakfast scramble ever for everyone!

You do??
PM me.....I'm afraid of stalkers! :o
you should create a profile!
It's not the restaurant we went to, is it? I forgot the name.... :-\ I hope not...it was really good.
No, not Rosetta's!
It's not actually in Asheville city, but in a small town outside of Asheville. If Rosetta's closed I would have to die, I think....

That is awful. It is sad when the little things in life we enjoy are just suddenly gone. Maybe some other veg*n will buy it....or maybe the previous owner will come back since its only been out of her hands for 9 months...
When it was up for sale last time, it was actually in the lease that it HAD to remain vegetarian. I am hoping they will do the same this time (but maybe not since they might think it will flop again).
I am hoping for the previous owner....good thought!

you know we had a really awesome cafe in bethlehem and close to the end of the cafe the owners changed and it went to poop, the end, then the previous owner reopened her awesome cafe at another location. maybe something like that will happen!
I would probably seriously consider moving there..haha...but Patrick is going back to school in August...so we have at least 2 more years here.
