Open yer fridge

No, not more videos.
Open your fridge, and take a shot. No taking anything out, or cleaning!

Tiny, old fridge. Lots o' leftovers in there. Some homemade refried beans, soft polenta, little thing of gross garlic sauce. The squeeze bottle is Goddess dressing from bulk, and the Newman's jar is soy sauce. Green olives on the bottom next to the container of beans. That blue container behind the squeeze bottle is tahini.

I'm so doing this one of these days .
Maybe this weekend....

Dude I love looking at these pics for some strange reason!

Me, too.  It makes me jealous though!  Everyone's fridges are so stocked.  Amy, your pics with that pizza in there made me very hungry!

Aaaaargh, babysgotsauce, I lovelovelovelove your glass jars system.  Why did I never think of reusing glass jars for this??  I'm so excited, because I have a bag of like 4 tablespoons of wheat gluten that keeps poofing wheat gluten dust everywhere even though it's rubber banded, and I just opened a bag of Bob's Red Mill 7 grain cereal that has a mysterious tiny whole that keeps poofing cereal dust (and I just opened it so it's too full to effectively rubber-band).  Both are now destined for glass jars now.  Yay!!

I'm at work but definitely intend to jump on the fridge photo bandwagon when I go home for lunch.  My fridge is...not impressive.  For various reasons.

BGS: I have the same brown rice syrup... Is it supposed to be refrigerated?!? And I love seeing other people reusing glass jars for food storage like me! It makes me feel like not such a weirdo... I actually get a weird sense of happiness putting old jars to use!

me too for the jars, I'm glad I'm not a freak! My family kinda chuckles at it when they come over, haters.  I read in some cookbook to keep the brown rice syrup in the fridge, but I'm thinking about unrefridgerating mine because it gets so extra sticky and hard to get out when its in there.  I think it just should be refridgerated if you have it for a long time.  But i go through mine in a couple months.

Jen-thats awesome, it makes it eaiser when you buy in bulk, so you don't have plastic bags everywhere, breaking, etc. Soaking the jars under a cloth saturated with vinegar for a hour or so helps the labels come off really well.

BR-its not always so stocked and its pretty full with leftovers, not fun stuff like Daiya or something....(when I get rich I'll add pics and it will all be Daiya, Tofutti cream cheese, etc...)

hmmmm, may have to try that.  Currently my nooch is in a jam jar with the label still attached, and my lentils are in an olive jar with the label attached, so may have to try this.
It's really annoying at the moment because I don't have enough jars for everything, so I have tons of bags of stuff.  Can't wait until I have replenished my jar stocks.

Hmmm, I have a different fridge from the one I posted pics of before.  When I get new batteries for my camera I'll try to remember to take pics.

The "deli cat" food was a gift from the manager when we moved in. First two ingredients are corn - ugh. Anyway: coffee, torani syrups, spices, baking soda, liquid smoke, flour, potato starch, dried apricots, cocoa, black cocoa, almonds, TVP, red lentils, etc
Upper part of cabinet

syrup, mustard, hershey's, corn chips, corn husks, black salt, top ramen*, non-vaygun chips*, fruit loops, oatmeal, koya tofu, mochi, applesauce, pear sauce, panko, VWG, Maggi seasoning, quinoa, black beans, instant dashi, barley, red wine vinegar, urad dal, salt, piloncillo, "House Wife" soy sauce (haha), olive oil, cooking wine, rice vinegar.

*also J's. We got both of these about a year ago when we first moved, and neither package is half finished... and they expire in July o_O. I think he's had 1-2 of the ramen with the chicken flavoring. The rest of the times he's had me make him dashi broth, and he's started doing it himself... vegan win =)

I love this thread so much!!

FB what's the thing on the bottom shelf of your fridge door at the very left hand side.  Yeah I know you listed everything, but I can't figure that one out.  It looks a little like a bottle of kiwicrush, but I'm sure it's not.
Also, why do you have a battery in your fridge?

Minke - is that silk coffee creamer on the top shelf?  I always wondered what that looked like, and  did not imagine it like that!

bottom left? is ketchup. bottom right - can of coke zero. top left - jar of saffron. top right - vanilla beans.

we have a battery in the fridge because ... uh, I think J said something about it lasting longer. Or something. Idk. I've asked him about it twice, never remembered the answer.

I was told that as well. Back before everything used a rechargable battery we kept ours in the fridge.
