sooo thank you to the lovely, as yet anonymous, person who sent me my package! bf sent a message that says it is at the apt and in the fridge (i can't imagine how he didn't open it...but good on him ;))
i am so so so excited to go home and seeee!
so i will post tomorrow with formal thank yous. although my hunch is that it's AC since she sent hers so early. or maybe not!

I woke up today to a postal carrier at my door with my swap package--what a way to wake up!! I'm so excited! (I would take a picture, but I can't locate the cord to my camera, and I have no photo software on my laptop like I had on my old one. Sorry.) The package contents are as follows:
butterscotch extract (yay! No, I hadn't bought any yet online; I'm a slacker. Thanks so much! I can't wait to use this. Don't sweat the delay--this was definitely worth it!)
homemade Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies from VWAV (This was the first thing I busted into. Oddly enough, I've never made this recipe; they're fantastically soft, chocolaty, and delicious!)
homemade Luscious Coconut Bread from Vegweb (I think I'm going to try your idea of the french toast. I usually use this recipe: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=5163.msg67790#msg67790. Do you think this would be ok, or do you have another recipe that you recommend?)
homemade Tamari Roasted Nuts & Seeds from ExtraVeganZa (This was the second thing I tried and super tasty, great for the munchies! I just recently added this cookbook to my "buy" list.)
loose tea in black mango and blood orange (These sound grand, and I can't wait to try a cup.)

Secondbase is so amazing that he even wrapped everything with beautiful silvery paper and ribbons. (Sorry, Allychristine. I guess decorations aren't my thing. I didn't even think of them.) Everything was packed awesomely and arrived perfectly.

The recipe you use for french toast, is exactly the one I use when I make that loaf into french toast. It works perfectly, and I know you'll enjoy it!

thank you so so much for my awesome (large?! haha) package! all the way from florida...I expected a fellow canadian to send one so thank you even more :) I've never tried half the stuff in it (dried mango, gummies, larabars...) & so far it's allllllll good. When I send one next time I'll have some better ideas of what to put in now that I've received such a sweet parcel. thank youuuu for adopting me!

i'm glad you liked it! i doubled the recipe for those brownies to appease my bf and they really were sooo good. it's the maple syrup! i just finished the last of em in a sundae w/rice dream and blackberries 2 nights ago. glad it made it there, finally!
Is there any chance you have/had a cold, AP? I got sick the next day, and I just don't want to have strep throat, b/c I never have before, but I woke up at 4 am and nothing is working to make my throat stop hurting. I don't want to spread it around, either. I'd PM you, but I don't have those skills.
Also, Charlie the Unicorn is the best. I mean, he's pretty dumb, so I have sympathy with him! And the animation is cute, the songs stick in your head--what more can you ask for? (put a ripe banana right into your favorite ear)
I don't understand why babies on youtube are popular, no offense to the mothers here...

i got mine today. not sure who its from. havent even seen it. but michael is bringing it to austin tomorrow. im so excited. he said its from the uk! so im TOTALLY stoked about that. i hope that when i open it, i will hear a million british voices talking to me from inside the box. maybe voices are stuck in the box. but i'm stoked. im guessing its from catski because. well. she lives in the uk. so we'll see. im so excited to open it! yay!
