Prompting an animal rights investgation.

In my town of Tucson, we have this community that really goes crazy with holiday lights. They call it winter haven"So they have tours through there. Including horse-drawn sleigh rides. The other night one of the horses got spooked, had a sudden heart attack and died. The news reports were all focused on the eh human feelings in this case, surprise, surprise! Well, I am just wondering- how do I find out what sort of veterinary care the animals receive? How could this have been prevented? A friend of mine know the folks who run the sleighs and assured me that they are very good tot heir animals. That they only work once a year (at Christmas time) and that they live in a pasture the rest of the time. (which makes me wonder what sort of exercise routine they have normally to make sure they stay fit to do that job... Dave posted a link in another thread for the animal defense league and I see they have a team or group for the university in my town. Maybe I should contact them and ask some of these questions?

contact them, zealia. they will probably know what to do about it. the first thing i thought of was exercise when i heard they only work once a year, too. definitely make sure those horses are ok!!
