Reasons to smile
I guess not everyone needs to find a reason, but... What made you smile and/or laugh today?
My first LOL of the day was caused by this LOLdog.
I went to the uniform laundry room at work yesterday, to ask if I could try on a size smaller in my trousers. And they fit! The laundry lady asked me if I needed a new shirt, too, so I tried the next size down in that, too. And it fit! Wow. My pants had been slipping down my hips a little for weeks, but last week they got ridiculously slippy. So happy to have confirmation that my body's changing shape/size a little. :iloveyou:
Humming along to the occasional good song at work... it's amazing how much it can lift my mood. ;)b
Overhearing customers' reactions when they can't decide whether flowers are real or not. It's hilarious either way - when they think fake are real, or real are fake. ;D
I am no longer on call, I left work early because I am the boss and I can (and I've worked myself into the ground this week), I came home and sat on the deck in the gorgeous sun and drank beer, I'm now slightly tipsy from one beer, and the arsehole guy at work has now left forever.
Today is a good day.
Oh and it's pizza night.

speaking of aloof cats, I bathed Mimi yesterday for the first time (idk why I waited so long...) and oh man. She was not aloof about that. By the end though, she seemed to misinterpret the attention I was giving her as good attention and started purring. What? Wires crossed. Still, the rare time I can get her to purr while she's not eating... :)
and actually, my dumb cat (Bobby) does that too, but I think it's more of him being an attention whore that it overrides his aversion to water.

Talking of Gary, she's weird (yes we all knew that). I think she likes our new house. We keep catching her just sitting and purring. For no reason. And she is now scenting my toes.
Do you guys give your cats baths regularly? Or like, even semi-regularly?
I think Abu has had maybe two baths in his whole life. He's an only indoor cat though.
Cat never had a bath in his time with me. His level of resentment would have ended our relationship.
My cat Atilla bathes quite regulary. She can get the bathroom door open while I'm in shower and likes to jump in. She's a weirdo.
Only one of my 4 cats gets semiregular baths. Spaz gets them when I am preparing a bath for myself and he jumps into the tub on his own power which is does on a semiregular basis. :o

I bathe my cats every time before I apply flea stuff (every 1.5 months); I just got in the habit of it when they had ringworm I guess, and the conditioner I have is good for their skin or something. I mean to bathe them more to reduce shedding and help with J's allergies, but... too lazy. I mean, humane. Yes, it is for their welfare. Yes...
Gary does not do baths. I have never even tried and I wouldn't attempt it.
