Reasons to smile

I guess not everyone needs to find a reason, but... What made you smile and/or laugh today?

My first LOL of the day was caused by this LOLdog.

I went to the uniform laundry room at work yesterday, to ask if I could try on a size smaller in my trousers. And they fit! The laundry lady asked me if I needed a new shirt, too, so I tried the next size down in that, too. And it fit! Wow. My pants had been slipping down my hips a little for weeks, but last week they got ridiculously slippy. So happy to have confirmation that my body's changing shape/size a little. :iloveyou:

Humming along to the occasional good song at work... it's amazing how much it can lift my mood. ;)b

Overhearing customers' reactions when they can't decide whether flowers are real or not. It's hilarious either way - when they think fake are real, or real are fake. ;D

^ Aw, cool. This makes me smile, also.

:) Thank you for doing what you do, AFM.

I got smudged, received reiki, and had my chakras balanced by two reiki masters and a clairvoyant.  Life is good.

I was stalking vegweb at my sisters house all weekend and I got to hear some of you talk on a thread with everyone posting videos saying words :)  (I never signed in bc I forgot my password and I'm always logged on at my house)  I'm happy that you all are happy and smiling.  I'm also happy because I'm adding more raw food into my life and I'm going to be getting some raw cookbooks soon.  Lastly I'm happy my usband got a smart phone because now I can watch youtube videos on his phone which I can't do with my dial up.  I'm also happy to be just happy.

A Lush store opened near me!  I've been wanting to try their products for so long but couldn't justify spending so much for the products + shipping if I ordered online.  I came across the store totally by accident today.  I only bought one shampoo bar (Squeaky Green), plus a tin.  I figure I'd better see if I like it before going crazy and buying one of everything. :) But I'm already kind of regretting not buying the cinnamon one.

The cinnamon one is for fragile hair and it takes a couple of washes for your hair to get "used" to it. I have that one and the pale lavendar one, IDK the English name for it. Here they call it "Fairy" after Fairy dishsoap.
I love the Dream Cream.

I've never even heard of Lush.  Time to google, I love spoiling myself with nice bath products!

The prices look expensive but the products last a lot longer than their mainstream commercial counterparts so it all evens out, and they are much, much better for you. Besides the whole vegan no animal testing 100% natural thing.

I went to the site and discovered that there is a Lush in International Mall in Tampa.  I never go in that mall, but now I will.

tbh, I never like Lush products much. Yes it's cool that they make them, and they have vegan stuff, but nothing's been too great for me.

aw fb  ): have you tried their soaps? I'm partial to all of them. Their bath bombs are pretty and smell wonderful but usually last only 1-2 uses, while their soaps are the same price and you can be surrounded by good smelliness every time you wash your hands. I'm currently using one in my bathroom called "Lust" which is jasmine-y.

Yabbit, I love Dream Cream too. I don't usually buy lotion because after the holidays (where body & bathing products are my family's go-to present) I practically end up stockpiling it in my bathroom. But the dream cream is sooo lovely!
Btw, here the pale lavendar shampoo is called "Jumping Juniper."

I always feel like a sales representative when I get into lush talk.

Hmm, maybe I'll give the cinnamon one a miss then, 'cuz my hair's in pretty good condition.  It just smelled so good. :) But there are plenty of others that I'd like to try, assuming I like using the Squeaky Green one.  I used it this morning and my hair feels nice and clean AND it was easy to brush afterwards, even though I didn't use conditioner like I normally would.  But I'm afraid the ends of my hair might dry out.  I'll keep using it and see.  I can always start using conditioner again if I need it.

PG, that's why I got two different ones. The cinnamon one I use twice a week and usually the Jumping Juniper once. Because my hair is fragile but on its "off days" (like today) it suddenly gets really gross and dirty.
You will find you don't need as many styling products or conditioners after the first couple of washes (after you get the residue of other shampoos and junk out of your hair). My hair really needs cutting because it is losing its shape, but I don't feel the need of conditioner mousse because it's more manageable now.
If you want to skip the conditioner, I recommend rubbing unwashed  hair with a bit of olive oil once a week, wrapping it in clingfilm and leaving it for about 30 min. Then wash out. (This also helps if you have lice, btw. But then you rub oil allll over your scalp and wrap your whole head (except face of course) in the wrap and leave it for 45 min. You can use mayo instead, but I don't like smelling like a sandwich.)

i wish i had a lush store, better yet i wish i had good customer service of any kind.

b/c i had a dream about making ice cream with my coconut creamer, and a homemade caramel sauce with fresh cracked pepper (go ahead and cringe hh) and my husband is excited  for me to try to create it. pepper and all.

I want Lush stuff. My friend said she'd get me something because she's going to a store in Philly. It's just not worth the trip to tampa or buying online for me yet. I got the shimmy shimmy glitter bar though. THERE IS SO MUCH GLITTER IN THAT THING. It smells good too. Never in my life would I think that I would want LESS glitter though, haha. I make everything glittery when I use it.

REASONS:
-Woke up to an AWESOME paycheck. almost 200 more than what I've been getting.
-Also woke up to find out I got an A as my final grade in Chem, I thought I bombed the final but I got a B!
-I'm taking my last final today and I have a 99.8 in that class so I know I'll pass and I'm stoked to be done for a bit
-All my Christmas shopping is done, but I might get Preston something else because I want to.
-I'm starting to actually think we'll get all the Christmas orders done before Christmas eve at work! Woo!

I've always avoided Lush because of the overwhelming, combined sherbety-soapy smell coming out of the stores. I've often walked past on the opposite side of malls because it's just so strong. But if the products are really that good... well, I loves me some natural skin- and hair-care, so maybe I should check it out.

That's odd...the Spanish store smells of sandalwood and something I don't have a name for but it's a dark, mossy smell.

My RTS: After a tiring, difficult day, I found a portion of Tarka Dal in the freezer. I was so tired I was basically not going to eat dinner at all but I knew I needed something. Comfort food to the rescue!!

I know what you mean. My mom, sister, and some of my sisters in-laws went to a mall out of town once that had a Lush store. I had never been into one before and it smelled so strong that I had to leave. A lot of scents at once bother my allergies, so it is hard for me to go into any stores with a lot of fragrance. I love that they have natural vegan products though. I would be able to handle the scent of one item but not all of them at once haha
