Reasons to smile
I guess not everyone needs to find a reason, but... What made you smile and/or laugh today?
My first LOL of the day was caused by this LOLdog.
I went to the uniform laundry room at work yesterday, to ask if I could try on a size smaller in my trousers. And they fit! The laundry lady asked me if I needed a new shirt, too, so I tried the next size down in that, too. And it fit! Wow. My pants had been slipping down my hips a little for weeks, but last week they got ridiculously slippy. So happy to have confirmation that my body's changing shape/size a little. :iloveyou:
Humming along to the occasional good song at work... it's amazing how much it can lift my mood. ;)b
Overhearing customers' reactions when they can't decide whether flowers are real or not. It's hilarious either way - when they think fake are real, or real are fake. ;D
no no no CW, my own fluids - must be ovulation time! Is that when it's thicker.
Anyways, this probably belongs in the other thread
my hair appt got moved up from Monday evening to Saturday afternoon!
I'm so nervous and excited at the same time!

ohhhh... nevermindthen. :D
.....unless You want to be considered scandalous for mentioning such things in THIS thread...heheh
OH! I almost forgot:
I made chocolate PB pie and bp's carrot cake this morning and brought it to work.... Everyone in the bakery who tried them LOVED it! ...I mean, they seemed genuinely impressed with the deliciousness of them both, not to mention the fact that they're entirely Vegan.
It turns out that the lady who owns the place is a vegetarian, and she is really good about recognizing special dietary needs and meeting the needs of the customers. The pastry manager I worked with today indicated that I could very well help with new recipes and/or veganizing existing ones for future custom orders. :D
sweeeet!
CW - very cool about the bakery owner and being able to help with recipe!!
p.s. I wish I was in your area, it'd be amazing to do yoga together :)
I have a huge reason to smile this afternoon, just received a text message from my husband, and instead of being laid off tomorrow, as he was warned he would be, he's got a permanent job and offer of an apprenticeship :-D That's just such unbelievably good news right now, I've been so stressed about him losing his job, and this came through just in the nick of time!!!
Great news OWW! That made me smile too...in your honor :flower:
hehe, it's the smile-go-round

Thinking of lotus & Cam. 10 hours to go. :w00t!:
Being on a bit of a holiday! (even though it's stressful money wise its nice to be free and non stressed)

Oh, and I'm smiling about the fact that Urban Dictionary has the following definitions for...
Whargarbl:
(n.) A useless or unproductive excersize.
(v.) To waste time and effort.
(n.) The noise made by a dog's mouth as it bites the stream of water coming from a lawn sprinkler.
Seeing this picture pop up here made me... well, more ROFL than smile, but smiling was a part of that. :-D

there is a turtle laying eggs on the beach in front of my house! :)
I'm writing assessments, and I found a custom bubble-sheet generator! :)
Huh? What's a bubble-sheet generator? Is it like a scantron?
Huh? What's a bubble-sheet generator? Is it like a scantron?
Well, no, you can't scan it and have it graded for you, but similar. Like, if I have a test with 62 questions and I want it to be specifically A-E bubbles or whatever the case may be (or <, >, =, or numbers instead of letters, etc), then I can custom make the answer sheet.
Sweet! So I was close. I first thought bubble wrap and then I thought bedsheets and THEN I thought I should think of something that actually makes, you know, sense.
Reason to Smile: My desktop crashed last night, but before I went to bed I printed out my Iron Chef recipe.
I need to get it fixed, but first I'm going to think good thoughts and see if that works.

Haha, I'm envisioning a bed wrapped in bubble wrap. Could be fun.
In case any of y'all teachers want the bubble sheets:

The gift-quilt is finished!!!
(cymbals)
tomorrow all I have to do is get a mailer and put the label on it. And it looks a LOT better now it's bound than just the top did when I started quilting it.
Nature is making me smile.
It's 23.00 now and looking out my livingroom window,
out on my fjord, the sun is sooooo beautiful.
Yellow, red and bright pink!
